HA ha! Couldn't resist this one. So we have gone from people being imprisoned for not paying a TV licence (when it's actually for not paying a fine, which is fairly easy to avoid and affordable to anyone if imposed) to now being 'thousands' of people as opposed to the original 90 or so. I suppose that soon, in order to try to prop up an impossible argument we will have so many people in prison for 'not paying their TV licence' that half the prison population will be made up of licence dodgers.
