Agreed,
used to like him but now its all about the shock value - his last DVD was unbearable and uncomfortable to watch. Making jokes about Madeline McCann really isn't funny.

How do you know I wasn't?

I eventually watched it a year or two back and it was great. I missed out for a long time there. He wrote that, so credit has to go to him for it.
He's obviously since shown himself as a shameless brown noser, second only to Piers Morgan, but 2 pints was good.
Do you mean Gavin and Stacey? I don't recall him being involved in 2 Pints of Lager?

There was no way he was going to miss an invite to the recent Royal Wedding!

I have a mate from Uxbridge who is a friend of a friend of Corden's cousin. Allegedly, Corden invited One Direction and various other celebs to his wedding but not half of his family. Could be a rumour but I have no reason to doubt the guy who told me, and Corden seems the type.

It was his wedding and he invited who he chose to invite, which is what we all do. The celebs he invited were, and still are friends and, in all honesty, they all move in different circles and an unreal world towards the one that we 'normal' folk live in.
He is the same as other entertainers because some will like him and others vehemently dislike him, however, he has worked hard to achieve his success and is not without talent when it comes to script writing and he is also clever enough to have got his US deal and is thriving on the success that has brought him.

Surely post one should be the end of the thread? No further discussion required.

Actually I'd like to add Jo Brand. She cannot utter more than five words without mentioning her weight.

Gavin & Stacey was really good.
I quite like James Corden when he's not being himself.

I agree with On-A-T-Rex. SNL these days in unwatchable. They've run out of ideas and new talent a long time ago. The most notable thing these days is Michael Che promoting drug culture and "persecuted" blacks. Time for Lorne Michaels to retire. He's been at the helm way too long.

The object of a comedian is to make me/us laugh. Very few today do that. In fact some who drone on with politics are nauseating. None more so than that fat Scot Boyle
