I do rarely have a go at refs, but this Grade 'A' pillock is shockingly bad.

Compare our non penalty to the one Chelsea got for their 2nd - it is an unequal world

It's easy to criticise Ash but when such a blatant call doesn't go your way his reaction is understandable, these aren't even 50/50's they are obvious mistakes.

I though Southampton carried the greater attacking threat early on in the half and obviously Ings had that very good chance one-on-one that Heaton did well to save. Burnley got better as the half went on and we had the better of the chances I think. The referee is clearly not on our side so hopefully we'll come out fired up in the second half and use that as motivation. Southampton haven't been anything to worry about - we can win this. They've looked less threatening since Ings went off.

When somebody dives and gets booked, you just know they've accepted the fact and get on with it. A player is only going to go ape, when they know damn well it was a penalty.

From the BBC website:

Anthony Taylor's half-time whistle is met by a chorus of boos by the Burnley fans.

Really? I've not followed to game so far, but are we playing that badly?

The ref needs substituting, awful truly awful.

Doesn't give a clear penalty.

Gives Barnes a yellow

Slattery should have been given a yellow early on, which would have made the yellow that he got before half time his second and off.

The players have every right to be outraged, but Sean needs to cool them down in the dressing room. Anything could happen with this clown of a ref if we lose control of ourselves.

I find it hilarious we've had 2 bookings and they haven't had any. They should have had one in the first few minutes when Mee (?) was fouled in our box.

Clear penalty but Barnes was expecting the contact and went down looking for the pen. Soton winning all the physical battles helped by an inept referee

When we finally get a penalty towards the end of next season, someone should produce a Youtube video of all the clear ones that were turned away.

It'll make a very entertaining 3 hour viewing.

We’ve been off it today. Hendrick has done very little with the ball and I hope they are not having a reaction to Tuesdays finish.
I’d rather have a poor first half than second so if SD has got into them all will be well.
Crouch to score the winner from a Brady cross.

Still think away at Hudds last year was worse

poor ref decisions have cost us 4 points in last 2 games - if this goes the same way it will be the worst of the three

I thought that's what attackers where supposed to do,seek contact and hit the floor works for Dele Alli more often than not.

Inept is a generous description.

Brady on for McNeil after 70 minutes?
Crouch on for Wood/Barnes after 85 minutes?

It gives us 5 minutes.
