Who is our best ever centre forward
Re: Who is our best ever centre forward
Pointer. Why? Because he was my boyhood idol. Because I was a choir boy at his wedding and I got 5 shillings as apposed to the usual half a crown for a wedding. There won't be many understanding that bit. Oh yes he was a really great player.

If it wasn't for his tragic injury I truly believe Jon Walters would have gone on to become our greatest ever striker and maybe even our greatest ever player.

In my time watching, Charlie Austin should have been. If he'd had better luck with injuries - or Danny Ings' attitude to coming back from them - then he'd have been a top striker at a top club.
But he didn't, so I'll go for Ings, even if Chris Wood is the most perfectly suited forward we could have at the moment.

In terms of pure finishing, I’d probably say Austin, but for all round performance, Ings.

Kevin Reeves was good but injury curtailed his time with us. So another vote for Ings although Conroy & Eli were special at the time!

Ray Pointer. Great player and nice guy.
