Interestingly I'm listening to talksport right now with Jamie O'Hara, Jermaine Pennant and some other lads like Trevor Sinclair and tbh it's more enjoyable than the last time I watched Sky Sports on match day.
I'm not suggesting this lot are the answer to replacing Stelling & Co but they could certainly do a lot worse.

There are less than a handful of people saying they will miss the broadcasting talents of the axed presenters. Plenty claiming they are victims of woke snowflake libtards. That is the issue right there. The reluctance to give opportunity to upcoming talent even when the outgoing presenters are pretty unanimously seen as mediocre. Make the case for their talent if you're so desperate for them to stay. The silence is deafening.

The panel on Soccer Saturday is often dull, negative, poorly informed and prone to in-jokes that do nothing to enhance my experience as a viewer. The 3 presenters are pretty interchangeable to me, and you can add Cottee, McInally and Merson to the list. I would welcome some new voices and perspectives.

Agreed jojo, it's a different proposition being the anchorman and requires a different skill set.

I would also prefer ex Pros on the panel who can provide a better insight into mindset and tactics than those who haven't been involved at the highest level, the recruitment of the right individuals is key here. Gary Neville types, he's excellent.

What they should be doing with recruiting is drawing up a pool of people who would be interested in taking the job & asking the viewers to decide, the viewers are paying with the subscription fees & are more than entitled to decide what they are spending there money on & who there want to listen to & who there want to see. It's not rocket science that way it encourages the subscriptions to keep flowing in knowing that people have the choice & freedom of input.

It's a good idea, I personally don't subscribe to sky but if I did I'd like to able to choose from eg, Ian wright to Stan collymore, when I ring the Chinese up I tend to choose from the menu, a sweet & sour dish doesn't arrive on my doorstep unless I decide it does, I don't see how this is any different.

Sure, it is practical in the sense that it could be done. That is not the same as it being desirable though. Using my analogy, it is unlikely that Dwight would have got his chance because relatively few people had seen him play.

By & large & in the main, SD can be trusted to do that because it's been demonstrated that he's capable, we are talking about something completely different here, people could vote by the red button on a massive scale through multiple choice. I don't understand why some people are opposed to giving people the freedom of choice in lifestyle decisions.

Do you ever have to delegate in your working life? Are you involved in the selection process of every public employee and every private sector employee of whose products/services you consume? Would your freedom be enhanced by spending vast amounts of your leisure time on deciding these things?

Time? It's a 10 second decision, regarding the inclination if they abstain it's a no vote, there's nothing extremely complicated here, yes I agree that those will be accountable & for the consequences & outcomes which could be completely taken away if the viewers decided. The candidates would be from a mass pool who are interested in the job & then whittled down until the number selected was right, the exposure to the fresh talent can surface in any number of other ways, I don't understand why you seem to be ideologically opposed to giving the subscription fee payers the opportunity to decide when it's there money that is being spent.

Well that's a good point, however multirooms get a vote each, the subscriber can despise eg Alan shearer & like Jermaine jenas but can exercise that choice & can influence who gets the job instead of being lumbered with somebody they can't stand or deciding to cancel or switch off.
