Hope Barnes has a belter
Indeed and if he does they'll be a lot of people with egg on their faces later.

Barnes/Wood pairing has worked well in the past, and managers generally favour things they know can work.

And if Vydra's injured, then it was a choice between Jay and Ash, and Jay's hardly pulled up any trees this season, so I can see why SD has opted for a tried and tested method, let's all hope he's proven correct, TBF he often has been over the years, so who are we to doubt him.

I feel optimistic and even had a bet on us, not sure if that's a good thing mind.

Shame about Vyds not being available, but I really don't understand why JayRod has been dropped instead of Wood. He can play right across the front line, think quickly, and drop back into midfield when needed.

It must be plan Z.

Genuine question. When did it last work well? I've got it in my mind that it last worked well, consistently, not just for the odd game, 2 years ago in the second half of the 2018/19 season.

I'm just not getting the clamour for it at the moment. Maybe I'll be proved wrong.

Are U23 players in the same bubble as the first team squad?

Often wondered - who are these players praying to when they walk out?
If there was a God, do you think he would care if someone won at football?

In fairness to Ashley Barnes, he’s had 10 months out with a hernia

Mee got a knock after making a challenge

Wouldn’t have needed to be made if the stupid “don’t flag for offside until the play is over” rule wasn’t in place

Yep. Daft. He could be potentially injured now for a challenge he shouldn’t have to make. All so linos don’t have to make a decision anymore. Silly.
