Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
They’ve got the recruitment wrong this time I think and I’m not sure at all about Brewster. I bet he’s rotated his squad a lot more too than he did last season.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 5:47 pmHe has done a lot of good overall but I think he didn’t spend as well as he could of done, £20 mill + for Brewster seems excessive, I think the longer this goes on he’ll get fed up & resign or they’ll eventually end up sacking him, I think the fixtures ahead are dreadful for them as well, both Manchester clubs & Tottenham.

Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
Just seen the highlights. What’s the defender, is it Bogle? If he had gone down clutching his face I’ve no doubt Zaha would’ve been sent off. Fair play to him for being honest.
So often I’ve seen the the referee’s punishment based on the reaction of the fouled player rather than the offence itself.

I wouldn't say either manager is safe watching this given the investment both clubs have made over the last year or so

Dan Burn booked...................how wasn't he booked for the foul for the pen ? anywhere else on the pitch and he would have been booked for that

abject decision by the ref to blow up for a foul there, they haven't got to grips with VAR at all

Happy for this to end a draw. Anything but a Brighton win. Also would like The Baggies to beat Arsenal later. Keeps those above us within reach.

We could go above Wolves if we win our two games in hand by a five goal margin.

Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
I don’t watch the second half, but I’ve said in a promotions thread that the Wolves manager looked like a man under pressure... I reckon if he didn’t win more games in the coming weeks they’ll bin him

Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
played Arsenal at the right time, WBA 0 Arsenal 2 after 28 mins, two good goals
Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
Arsenal 1-0
If it stays like this they will only be three points behind the European places.
What a crazy season!

2 down one to go.

Even crazier is that they'll end up only six points behind third spot!

I think we played Arsenal at exactly the right time.

This looks like Arsenal 15 years ago. Really good to watch.

BFS will be telling the ground staff to leave the snow on the pitch to get it called off

Big Sam is too vulnerable to have to traverse a frosty touchline.

Re: Today's footie 2/1/21
Arsenal have moved it around well so far but WBA's defending is contributing to making them look like world-beaters. I think BFS will be fuming about his defenders not bothering to tackle/harry ball carriers or track runners.
BHA came back well in the prior game but it's difficult to see a big WBA revival here unless Arsenal ease off or pick up a red card (as they're apt to do).
