That was outrageous. He literally ran 3 meters, did a small fist pump and walked back.

I assume we’ll be taking them to the High Court.
Wish some of our players could run 3 metres ;)

As a mate of mine said to the boss,”What will you do if I call you a c*#t”?

To be fair, unless we ring up City and ask to practice against them, we have no way of training against class like this!

They are just too good for us . We're lucky a lot of their shots have been off target. 1-0 is an achievement at half time. Let's hope they keep their foot off the gas and we can somehow nick one.

James has to be the best English right back, arguably better than Trippier. He put it on a plate for Havertz.

That goal wasn't the fault of Taylor. Havertz should never have a free header there against both our centre halves. Taylor has done okay against James, especially considering the form James is in. Taylor has been aware of the switching of the ball and done okay.

Chelsea have looked slick as you' expect, the good news is it's only 1-0, and if we can keep in the game then you never know we might get a chance of pinching one in the 2nd half.

Bad goal to concede though, and I doubt Sean will be happy with the defending that led up to their goal.

Micah Richards and Souness just nearly had a punchup over a fullback not racing out to stop the cross.

We do similar, and midfielders are starting to pick spots just ahead of our CBs knowing they’ll be unmarked for the cross.

Can someone explain this to me? I can’t recall us always being so narrow, so is this a tactical change? And if so, why?

It appears to be a crap one. Why can’t we let the FB take the crosser? If they close them down they stand a better chance of blocking the cross or pushing them out wide. We’re basically giving world class players time to pick men out in the box….

Very few teams in the world could live with Chelsea and to be only 1-0 down with the chances they’ve created is down to Pope and bad finishing.
Nicking a goal to get a result today would be daylight robbery but anything can happen no matter how big the gulf in class.
That’s as positive as I can be

Not having a target man in games like this really makes it hard. He needs to win headers and bring others into play but he just doesn't. He's been working his socks off though. Almost nicked the ball off them in their half.

Same as our midfield two
Nobody is actually looking at where the Chelsea players are positioned - we are marking space but its not the space the opposition are standing in
