If people just don't want to go and support their team then fine but giving the reason for not going as the manager not caring or wanting to win is just boll**ks!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:57 pmSo how do you fit that in to the fact that we've won five of our last third round games?

That was my recollectionClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 10:00 pmDon't recall them having done it before this season. In 2019/20, the last season we could go to cup games, we had a higher price for non-season ticket holders than season ticket holders but no increases on the day.

Thought they'd done it for the Peterborough game but I may be wrong.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 10:00 pmDon't recall them having done it before this season. Was definitely the case in 2019/20 for Sunderland (League Cup) and Peterborough & Norwich (FA Cup).

Re: FA Cup - who's going on?
What about when we were in the fifth round last season and Dyche decided to play that team?
Dyche usually plays a worst team in these cups it’s not an out there suggestion that he doesn’t care about the cups.
Tbh I can’t blame him. Minimal resources, why risk it.
Re: FA Cup - who's going on?
Agree. The manager uses his squad, that's why we have one. If he played his 1st 11 and some of them picked up injuries he'd be slated for risking them!Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 10:16 pmWhat about when we were in the fifth round last season and Dyche decided to play that team?

Two town teams playing against each other. Bit if a rarity for us these days to play against a fellow town team.

Please please, let me have my day.
I will be there.
Having not watched the Clarets home or away live since the away game at Chelsea and been denied the pleasure since that Accy Clarets coach trip due to family and Covid-19 issues I cannot wait for my respite day on Saturday.
Who cares what: For me it’s back to my first love.

Yep.
£10 for me to get behind the Club and hopefully see some light following the gloom of 2021.

After being adamant I want going after last Sunday’s horror show, it got to Friday and the usual happens, I realise it’s what Saturdays a for and life too short to sulk. I’ve booked a ticket and decided I’ll take my oldest daughter to her first ever game (she was going v spurs until it got postponed).

Not risking a 5 hour round trip given the liklihood of a late cancellation or another white towel performance.

Re: FA Cup - who's going on?
The early kickoff and weather forecast has put me off, along with the prospect of another half arsed cup performance. Fair play to those who are making the effort.

So, using the above as an indication of the yes, no and maybe positions and basing the answer on the % of Burnley fans who use this Forum, The crowd will be 12,125.
Feeling confident with that so am off to get a lottery ticket on my way to the ground.
Ps: 3-1 to Burnley as well.

Unfortunately, due to other circumstances, I won't be there although I'll be counted having bought my ticket.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 5:56 pmIt’s not £20 and the CBA has seen us get through to the 4th round in five of the last six seasons.

I bought two tickets, but now self-isolating due to contracting COVID (possibly at Leeds?).
Didn’t realise they counted tickets bought, rather than actual attendees.

Re: FA Cup - who's going on?
We played at QPR in the 3rd round in 2008/09 and posters on the message board were mocking QPR who could only muster an attendance of less than 9,000. The replay at the Turf pulled in well under 4,000.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 12:21 pmAttendance is woeful, Burnley fans can never call supporters of other clubs plastic again.

For not attending a game in a devalued competition with a 12:30 kick off on a miserable day where both teams have weakened sides outs. During a pandemic where more people than ever are catching it?claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 12:21 pmAttendance is woeful, Burnley fans can never call supporters of other clubs plastic again.

I wouldn't have been there today had I not tested positive. I rarely go out so I have to have got it at a game. Have to wait until next Thursday and Friday now to see if I'll be able to go to the Leicester game.
As bad as it apparently was today, I missed not being there.

Touch wood you'll be OK for the Leicester game, assuming of course that it even goes ahead given the Foxes apparent lack of players.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 10:56 pmI wouldn't have been there today had I not tested positive. At least you won't have the torture of writing the match report, so that's one good thing out of a bad situation.
Bizarrely IF we beat Leicester, and then follow that up with a win over Watford, today will be quickly forgotten, football fans are fickle like that, and often have short memories.
