Yes it is because the same doom merchants will be on here after a few tricky ties next season giving it the big 'un about how crap we are and gonna get relegated etc so at least let us get some laughs in at the bedwetters

Even in the Boro match thread, the game we won promotion no less, we had Tarkys_ears and NewcastleClaret making insulting comments towards our goalkeeper.

If we get off to a poor start next season, we will have people on here, and elsewhere, calling for VK to be potted. This is why good managers move on when their stock is high and bigger clubs come a-calling. They know that their chance might not come again.

Next season will be tougher no doubt, and we will likely go through spells of not winning, that is the nature of the Prem for most clubs outwith the big boys. and even in the season we finished 7th we endured a 12 game winless streak mid-season.

The key is too stay with the manager and players during these tough times, this season we've been blessed that losses have been rare, however that isn't likely to be so true next season, so the supporters will be vital in those spells.

I don't expect VK to move on yet, but we should savour him well we can, because he will move on sooner or later if he continues to enjoy success with us, that's the nature of the modern game alas.
