I'd file it under an off day as you say things have gone well for them recently, footballers are not that much different to joe public you get days when you go into work & you just can't be arsed doing anything effectively & that's what happened today, Liverpool could be arsed united couldn't on another day it goes another way it's that simple.
An off day is one thing, but I doubt Utd fans will see it that way when they've shipped 7 at their bitter rivals.
Their reaction is the key if they react and deliver a positive result in their European game they can probably put this embarrassment behind them.
It's not a surprise that Liverpool won, but I doubt anyone would have predicted that 2nd half United meltdown.
A bit like Burnley at Bramall Lane where we collapsed 2nd half, however we responded brilliantly, and with the players in that dressing room Man Utd should be able to do likewise.
Even under Fergie they had the odd heavy defeat but they didn't let it affect them in the remainder of the season.
The bizarre thing is despite this big victory Liverpool will win nothing this season, while Utd already have a trophy to their name, so come the end of the season Utd will have enjoyed the better campaign overall.
