Unfortunately we don't have the additional players to sharpen up at both ends for the rest of this season
Defensively I think we can and have been superb until the last 2 games, so why not again for the last 3 games of the season?

Attacking wise is more of a concern in terms of finishing off chances created, especially with Tella now injured, but if we can re-tighten our defence again then we won’t need to score 3 or 4 per game to win. Yesterday we should have been out of sight by half time and if we had scored early, I think their heads would have dropped and we would have gone on to win the game comfortably. The first goal is always so important, especially when playing a team who are parking the proverbial bus like QPR did yesterday.

Sadly, they scored early in the second half and we completely lost our way mainly due to our lack of experience in big games like yesterday. I am sure that both our players and manager will be better off for the experience and I am confident that we will win at least one of our last 3 games to win the title……. Hopefully at Deadwood in a few days time!!

It was almost as if VK had told them at half time to ease up or we’d bury them.

‘C’mon guys. We want to win the title at Ewood don’t we? If we win it today it won’t be half the fun on Tuesday will it? The fans will be ecstatic if we win it Tuesday night.’

VK is a great believer in the importance of derby games for fans, he wants to become a living legend at Burnley. Win the Championship at Ewood and his status would be Godlike.

How else could you explain Saturdays second half display? Believe me, it’s all part of the plan, as Vegas rightly says. 😉

**** poor defending. Really shambolic for both. I'm not sure we should take THB on loan next year because he's not part of our best defence.

As for Jsy on the first. He should be clearing that throw

VK summed it up nicely in his post match interview.

We played the occasion, weren’t clinical enough and then tried to force it in the second half.

Our inexperience told, too.

Despite our grumbles over the past 3 games, VK will now be in a much better position to assess for next year, which is all that really matters.

Some players have switched off, which would indicate a bit of a mentality issue, at least one player (that we know of) has gone on a massive bender and subsequently been dropped, and we miss Tella more than we realised.

We got done over by a Burnley of old performance. Simple. QPR defended for their lives, and credit to them. They came under pressure and beat the best team in the league away from home.

No shame, it's hard to stop complacency when you know you're pretty much guaranteed the championship and you're already promoted.

Sets the stage for a victory and Championship win at our rivals, couldn't be better.

Yet THB is the least culpable for the second goal, he’s the only man trying to mark his man. Beyer and the rest are in horrendous positions unable to mark or engage a man and thus Martin gets a free header. THB wasn’t at his best but the goals weren’t his fault.
