As VK said, it'll probably be rearranged in winter when their pitch is ****. And definitely not to our advantage.
They're having a new pitch laid aren't they, like us?
Surely it should be in decent nick by the time the fixture comes around.

I heard that Luton do not have under-soil heating. Is this true ?

Yes, we will be at the bottom of the table for a couple of weeks however Vincent will make the most of the time with bonding the players and possible even bringing in another signing or two. Have faith and don’t waste time doubting. UTC!
As previously pointed out, not playing doesn't necessarily mean that our league position worsens. If our rivals suffer defeats then we actually climb the table! (And we've got the City game out of the way, a game where we wouldn't expect to get points later in the season)
I actually think that had we played Luton next week AT Kenilworth Rd, it would have been quite tricky, being their first ever home PL game. (Teams often raise their game in this circumstance and the crowd are really up for it).

The only real negative i have with it is the fact we have an extra week to dwell on a 3-0 defeat. However, we can take solace in seeing the other promoted teams lose just as convincingly on Saturday (well Sheff Utd result not so much but their fans all say if is wasn't for their keeper it would have been 4/5 nil) against poorer teams.

Having two friendlies against decent opposition at this stage of the season as players arrive and bed in can only be a positive. Surely?

The good news here is that it does look like only being one game. That means Luton’s first home match of the campaign will be against West Ham on September 1st. Of course, their curtain raiser, which is away from home against Brighton on August 12th will still go ahead.
