I do love to see the trolling posters on here use derogatory terms towards other fans like “happy clappers”. There isn’t a single true Burnley fan that is happy at the moment.
I find it utterly depressing but am able to put it in context. Like look at the squad value, experience, quality WHU have available to them. We have no right to be able to compete with them but we did.
Then look at our progress generally as a club…
Look at where our squad was a year ago and how it looks today.
Look at how we have a manager who has unearthed gem after gem (relatively cheaply). Even if we went down I’d back him to be able to attract top young players. Not only that he’s an absolute professional and great ambassador for our club.
Maybe less exciting for some but we also have high profile investors now, engaging with fans.
I don’t think we spent the £100m quoted, and if we did it’ll have been heavily incentivised, but at least we have a board investing now vs a chairman who barely spent a penny towards the end of his reign.
We’ve come a long way after relegation and it could’ve panned out much much worse.
