Or when someone doesn't like the owners they find a problem.

Could you point me in the direction of either listening to or reading something that says all transfers will be this method. As mentioned above does Redmond fit into this strategy ? Obafemi was nearer the 3m mark rather than the 10 as was Twine.

So apart from not getting money in for THB, Tella, Maatsen or Barnes which ones are you unhappy with ?
Loaning out Zaroury and Benson after ignoring them this season - seems strange business. If the model is to make money on players then should have sold them in the summer rather than let their values plummet like this.

I've no idea if Obafemi is a good player or not because he hardly had a run in the team.

What do you do if nobody bids though, I don't recall us turning bids down on either, which I am glad about I would rather keep Zaroury than lose him.

The fact only Championship clubs and initially a loan seem keen on Benson I don't think the value has plummeted that much really.

Did Tella’s value plummet or appreciate after being loaned out by Southampton last season? Is there a chance Zaroury plays for (the rumoured) Sevilla, does well and they have to pay over 10m if they want him in the summer? Having said that, the current rumours include buy options for Zaroury and Benson, do you think they will be lower or (a fair bit) greater than the fees we paid?

All possible. But generally not playing the game for six months tends to reduce value/shrink the market for a player.

The way to make money on players is to do what we did with Michael Keane - sell him when his value is highest with a ready-made replacement (Tarkowski) having been groomed as a replacement.

But that requires patience, knowledge of the game and the market for players and above all proper planning.
