In answer to the final part of your statement……..yes!Tackler49 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 5:08 pmI watched City cut Spurs open at will last night and thought if they play like that against us it could be embarrassing then I watched Maidstone beat Ipswich i thought if we get some of their luck and play with their second half spirit we might at long last end our abysmal record against City or is that just wishful thinking!

Good time for us to play Fulham I think. Just been knocked out of two cups and not much to really play for now. Must win I think if we want to make it interesting.

Re: fulham vs newcastle
No. That was the interpretation but it has been changed. Now, it is only automatically disallowed regardless of intent if the handball is by the goalscorer.dougcollins wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 7:57 pmThe 'guidelines' change so often it's hard to keep track.
To my knowledge, if the ball accidentally strikes the arm of an attacking player and it directly results in a goal, it will be disallowed.
So they're probably right?
Therefore correct decision tonight.

Re: Todays football
Just spotted a Burnley Reds banner behind the goal at Newport. Disgusting
Re: Todays football
Newport v Mu
Just seen a banner...Burnley Reds
Impossible!
Strangers moved in and not yet found their way?

Re: Todays football
There's a few bell ends from Burnley who think they are die hard United fans, yet live in the town
Cant do with em
Another is a pratt from Colne with an awful name like Caspian or sumert - him and his easter egg head mate Chester
Re: Todays football
They can be die hard fans but live in Burnley Carnt they?
Iam a die hard burnley fan but live in a different town.

Re: Todays football
Probably Ryan who is a decent lad and goes on lots of United games (he’s at Newport today)
It’s comical that his dad reckons to be a big lifelong United fan but actually grew up supporting and going to Burnley games home and away (he won’t tell you that, though)

It showed the guy with his banner after the fourth goal.
Re: Todays football
Only caught it briefly but think one of them is a lad from Colne called Chester. At least they actually go to games and don't watch every game from their armchairs.
