For the top:
Not strengthening key areas and going OTT on others - Starting the season with J- Rod and Foster as our strikers was criminal, particularly when you consider the reason we got relegated from the PL last time was a lack of goals. That’s before you consider starting the season with one specialist LB.
A lack of a settled team (particularly in defence). I think I had us at 18 different defensive combinations in the first 26 games of the season. It now shows we’ve settled with Esteve, O’Shea and Assignon with O’Shea looking better each week knowing who is either side of him.
Failing to drop Trafford when he was struggling, although maybe VK saw in Muric the Brentford / Everton and that’s why he wanted a replacement last summer?
An overall lack of maturity in the squad. We’ve needed calm heads and experience for some of the young guys and it’s been noticeably AWOL. A total lack of PL nous (bar Taylor and Brownhill when they were playing).
The overall reason we’re going down? NAIVETY.
The clubs strategy to flip players has been naive, VK’s signings, subs and tactics have been (I dare say along with his man management), hell I’d even go so far as to say an element of the fan base, anticipating that as we’d walked the very poor championship applying the same style to the PL would see us easily up the division.
The question now is does the club and VK learn?
Why we are going down

Agreed-not even Spurs can play it and they have a good team and several world cup winning players
He doesn’t have a plan b.
I hope Pep has a word over the summer.
