2 seasons ago, at one point Rovers were top and I think we were something like 9th.

I think they'd have gone top if they'd beaten us at The Turf. Instead, we went top and stayed there.claretskeith wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:05 am2 seasons ago, at one point Rovers were top and I think we were something like 9th.

Re: TONIGHTS FOOTY
Look at Derby's XI - they are rank bad.
Their front 3 has a combined age of 94 (all over 30) and are 1 in 4/5 league one jobbers... Not to mention, they lost some loan players that performed well for them last season.
I think we will steam roll teams like Derby without getting out of 1st gear. We may have struggled against better teams last season but teams that man for man are (significantly) worse than us I think we will batter.

Re: TONIGHTS FOOTY
There was certainly a moment when we were closer to mid-table and I'm sure they were top - or 2nd, and their fans were taking screenshots. At the time I remember being confident it would be only short-lived, as we were much better than the table suggested. It was the time we were drawing games we should have comfortably won.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:11 amI think they'd have gone top if they'd beaten us at The Turf. Re: TONIGHTS FOOTY
Yeah after 7/8 games or so I'm pretty certain we were around 8th or 9th whilst they were top... Our underlying stats though we're top of the league and theirs were really bad. We had a few wins to go up into the top 2/3, back to reality with the loss at Sheff U then beat Blackburn and just kicked on from there and never looked back.claretskeith wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:13 amThere was certainly a moment when we were closer to mid-table and I'm sure they were top - or 2nd, and their fans were taking screenshots. Hope you're right. Let's wait and see how we start and who is here on 1 September.

Are they still sending screenshot of the league table?
