Parker style
First object is not to concede
Yet again, Foster with no support
Yet again, Koleosho running straight into trouble

Besides Brownhill running from deep once or twice a half, we have no threat centrally around their box to link with Foster or provide a foil for him to find space.
Our midfield 3 is just far too cautious

Absolutely p*ss poor first half.
Nowt to do with anything other than gormless individual play. If Flemming is fit I havent a scooby as to why he's not on the pitch.
If it doesnt improve then we're getting beaten today.
Hopefully things will change.

Preston game plan; nullify Koleosho. It's really that easy.

Il keep saying it but Mejbri offers this side absolutely nothing.
He’s so poor on the ball for a lad that came through Uniteds system

That’s the whole problem with Foster.. his intelligence or in game IQ Is so poor that he’s largely anonymous. The most important trait for any striker is knowing where to be at specific points of the game.
Like when Brownhill flicked that ball across the 6-yard box. A decent striker would’ve gambled on that and had a tap-in. Instead he’s on his heels yards away with no chance.

should be 1 down goal wasn't offside and we have to do a lot better in the second half to get anything..

Absolutely painful to watch, we are so rigid. When we’re going forward there’s barely any movement and we run out of space. I hate to say this but Foster looks so disinterested it’s not funny.

My grandma used to say if you've got nothing good to say don't say anything, after watching that first half I'm taking that advice.

The lino might not be getting a match for a while. Huge mistake.
Luca's just lost it for the moment. Frustrated. Desperately needs a goal or assist.
Trafford: Still not dominant in the air but very good save from Robbie Brady.
Estève: total class.
Foster: curate's egg. Some decent things but it's not enough.
Hannibal: Well involved (thankfully).
I hope NE will come to rue their missed chances.

He looks to me like he is having a go, chasing lost causes with zero support
Flemming has to start second half for Hanibal

Problem is apart from getting it to Kolo and Anthony there is no attacking through the middle.
Desperately need an attacking midfielder if flemming is out long term. A central one.

I feel like we're getting to the point with Foster where people are seeing things that aren't there. He did as much as anyone else that half. Granted that wasn't much, but he didn't stick out

Don't think anyone can defend that half today; it really was very very poor.
The only positive I can take is Jordan on the left, who's got into some threatening positions, put some balls into the box, won a few corners and made the keeper work with our only decent effort on target that I can remember.

Disagree think a lot of our issues stem from that right back role.
Should allow Koleosho to be a little more centrally and allow Mejbri to push up the pitch

We are really missing a CB that can carry the ball out and not just play sideways and backwards

Foster is 6ft 2 and built like a brick shithouse. He needs to do more when coming short to recieve the ball, as he's not for using his strength if Trafford plays it long either

I don't think that is our problem. It looks pretty but messes up shape.
Where we are lacking is in the other half of the pitch. Someone who can do that up there would be good. Someone who can hold our forward shape.

Do we think flemming for Anthony? Move Foster to left and LK to right? Then Sarmiento for LK 10 mins later?
Or straight swap for Hannibal?

Sarmiento for Anthony and Flemming for Hannibal for me. See what Foster can do with Flemming feeding and supporting.

Loads of hard work by LK.
His man kicks it out then falls down to stop the game so he can take a breather. Why do refs stop the game because someone has lost the ball?

Preston closing down well, defending superbly, and Koleosho/Anthony being well managed.
We really don't look like scoring.
Tough watch so far, it would be nice to see some changes that make it look like we're pushing for a win rather than settling for a point.

Foster absolutely brilliant from deep....which is his strength. Not in the 9 slot.
Brady clearly pulling Anthony shirt. Hinchcliff couldn't even spot it until the 2nd replay.
