Grim again

Even the ref couldn't bear to play the full additional minute.

Carry on with these impotent displays and Parker will be hounded out by New year.

Decent half there just lacking the final 5th.
Not for me. Dire to watch. Loose passing. Nothing in final third.

Not impressed again. Couple of good passages of play, but on the whole the end product is poor and we look a bit vulnerable on the counter. Flemming isn't a striker, not that he's getting any service, but looks another game where we may well struggle to score.
Disagree. Think there's been plenty of service. We've got into some good positions and put some good balls into the box, but Flemming has never been there and when he was he headed wide.

There's no doubt about it, we're improved on where we were in terms of looking threatening from a few weeks ago (faint praise) but we're still a tough watch at the moment.

Let's try exchanging one of the 3 attacking midfielders for Jay Rod and putting Flemming in behind, then Hannibal on for one of the Joshes please

Brownhill wasted playing deep. Sarmiento trying too hard. Koleosho his same frustrating self. Flemming not a 9.

This is one of a select few games that we will have space in behind to exploit. With CJ’s range of passing it’s crying out for a Tella’esque performance from someone on the shoulder. This may well just be a game for Hountondji to come on and play as the furthest forward, with Sarmiento, Anthony and Fleming sniffing around as the 3 behind him.

I don't think we have been that bad. Some nice football, but it's far too slow. Up the pace and we will find gaps.

It’s mind numbing stuff, and Cullen should have been sent off. On the evidence of what this side needed and what the player seems capable of, Flemming looks a poor signing. I hope the purchase is optional.

For sure. We're basically playing without a striker and you can tell. Flemming is a target man and either needs a striker to run off, or one of the other 3. Regarding Sarmiento, I actually think Koleosho would get more joy in the middle.

Parker just has to be braver and more positive with his approach, especially at home against teams like this.

It's still not that. At least we're getting down to the byline and pulling the ball back

But we desperately need to step up the tempo.

Pretty solid from us but all too often our final ball either has no one attacking it or it’s misused. Attacking changes needed from Parker in the 2nd, I’d be willing to try Hountondji just for box presence with Flemming off him.

The gap in quality between this season and the last two is colossal. As much as I like the guy, if results don’t change by Xmas, Parker needs to go. Let’s not make the same mistake hanging onto someone as part of a ‘project’ only to get left in the lurch.

How Brownhill didn’t throw himself at that Pires cross I’ll never know.

We don’t have a striker - plain and simple.

2 or 3 balls coming into the box that should have been put away.

Fleming should bury that header.

Case in point was the Pires cross right across goal, both Brownhill AND Anthony should be anticipating that and literally throw themselves onto it, it’s such an obvious cross that Pires executed really well - it’s a tap in for either.

More shots, yes, but the football is remaining slow and with a poor tempo. There is no urgency and this is the continued issue I’m seeing week in week out with this side, but for brief flurries (usually after we go a goal behind like at Hull and Millwall). The reluctance to inject a bit of creativity, pragmatism or take a risk is baffling. It’s an incredibly rigid, flat system that either works or doesn’t, and when it doesn’t it’s like we have little idea of how to alter from it.

You seriously expect free-flowing football in our 3rd game in 7 days against a side in the Top 10?
Let's have some realistic expectations. We've played the ball on the ground, got into some good positions and not taken the chances we've had, yet again. We need to be questioning the players a bit more I think. Browny again half-heartered, Flemming with a shocking header wide from the corner and never in the 6-yard box, Sarmiento doing nothing in the box.

I'm at the conclusion now that there's just a real lack of quality in this team. We look a very average championship side and I suspect the table will probably soon reflect that

It's better than some other recent games but I don't know how much praise that is.

Whatever the reasons, we've gone from Kompany's Championship side to this one and it's plain for everyone to see which one is better.

Koleosho, Sarmiento and Anthony feel a downgrade on what we had. We all know Zaroury went off the boil but when on song, he was miles ahead of those three. Koleosho will probably play at a higher level than Burnley but he isn't showing he can follow in someone like Odobert's footsteps yet. Even with Foster fit, we are well in need of a striker or two. I criticised Vitinho a lot, I thought he was very frustrating, but he'd do a better job out wide than the current crop.

So the squad isn't a patch on the last time we were in the Championship.

But beyond personnel, it's some of the most boring football I can remember probably since Cotterill. As it is, I'm not so sure Parker lasts the season.

Please just put Jay on and move Flemming back. Brownhill offers nothing in that deep lying centre. Get him stopped for Laurent. Why was no one screaming at Koleosho for just throwing the defender to the floor when we had them pinned in the corner. I'd be going mental at him for that stupidity. Not a whisper

We haven’t played free flowing football all season. So 3 games in 7 days isn’t an excuse.
