Glad Anthony got it, following a very poor pass out wide in the first place.

Cullen's pullback and then the strength from (Foster?) was good.

Cullen great play.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Definitely going to see a red card in this match if this keeps up
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
This ref is losing control here ... needs to get a grip

Anybody got a feeling this isn’t going to finish 11v11?

Instead of having really bad officials, they should have good ones

Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Can't blame the Wednesday fan from Sheffield for his lino ballsing up. Worst decision of the season, given he was nearer than even the keeper to the goal.
Now nip and tuck at 1-1 whereas we were dominant before their goal.

Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Great clearance from ER (I think) following a dangerous throw which we struggled with.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Great challenge from Laurent. Ref gives FK. Soft ref.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
I mean you'd have a hard time arguing he wasnt interfering with play 2 yards out, stood in front of the keeper.
It's offside, the deflection is immaterial.
We need to put our foot on the ball and practice some of that sterile football for a while.

Ref wasting more time chatting to players. Let's see how much time they add on for it.

This may be the first time in history someone has suggested a goalscorer wasn't interfering with playWinstonswhite wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 12:59 pmIs it not similar to Liverpools goal vs Everton? He was in an offside position but not interfering with play/Roberts when he went to block it

He's not wasting time, he's telling Bobby Thomas to shut his mouth. Every decision sees a Coventry player running at the referee, he needs to nip it in the bud.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 1:04 pmRef wasting more time chatting to players. Let's see how much time they add on for it.

Looking a little ragged. They've had chances. I wish we had a centre forward we could play off more convincingly.

I agree it’s bonkers but like Slot said it’s the rule that is wrong not the decision.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 1:05 pmThis may be the first time in history someone has suggested a goalscorer wasn't interfering with play
Im just trying to understand how the ref and Lino could make such a sh!te decision tbh. It was that blatant.

Disrupting play is a bookable offence
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Anthony nearly in via Brownhill
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
He's just missed it mate. It's plain as day and he's not called it. Nothing more to it.Winstonswhite wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 1:08 pmI agree it’s bonkers but like Slot said it’s the rule that is wrong not the decision.

OOh! Anthony....there was a chance. Might just have been too far in front.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
That’s not a free kick
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Brain dead from Pires. Esteve had time and space, absolutely no need to intervene.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
The officials don't seem to have a clue in this game, it's like they're playing bingo. It's helping the home support imo.

Another horrific decision, to fall for that is embarrassing.
Trafford digs the ref out by claiming the cross.

It's a block. It actually didn't need to be so enegetic. Still didn't think it was a foul.
Come on Burnley.

Nice pass Pires to Edwards. Edwards shot blocked. Laurent over the bar.

Can't believe this crowd. Gifted an offside goal. Enough will know via social media. That's bookable.

Da Silva was only 30 mins late with that lunge.
Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Coventry - Match Thread
Egan-Riley shoots wide and over from nice fk.
