They're not worthless if someone has a ST but if they don't, then they're worthless.
Loyalty Points Update
Re: Loyalty Points Update
You're a St holder and they're not, so you're being treated preferentially. btw you don't have to go anywhere to put a ticket on the exchange, you can do it from the comfort of your settee!quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 10:50 pmThat bit is simple to understand, yes. But that’s not the point. Surely the person buying the ticket should get some points?
If I can’t be arsed to go and put my ticket on the exchange, I get more points than the person who buys the ticket and actually goes to the match. That’s ridiculous.

Re: Loyalty Points Update
But why shouldnt you get more points. You've bought and paid probably £400-500 for a season ticket and go to probably most games in contrast to the person thats bought your ticket who is probably going on a couple or so games a season.quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 10:50 pmThat bit is simple to understand, yes. People living a way from Lancashire travel to away matches and make Turf Moor an irregular pilgrimage.clarets1978 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 10:44 amBut why shouldnt you get more points. My biggest peeve, in the past, was that I could get into away matches and stand,/sit with the hardcore, until the team did really well or a big cup match. Suddenly, all the far travelling, hard core away supporters are ditched, in favour of the home matches only brigade.

Not sure if you’re intentionally misreading my post or not but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I’m clearly talking about a game in isolation.
If I can’t be arsed to go to a match and decide to put my ticket on the exchange, I get 5 points.
The person who buys the ticket and actually attends the game gets no points.
That isn’t remotely fair, not sure why anyone would think it is.

Re: Loyalty Points Update
As per my reply above to Leisure. Why should I get 5 points because I can’t be arsed to go to a game, but the person who buys my ticket and does go gets none?clarets1978 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 10:44 amBut why shouldnt you get more points. Re: Loyalty Points Update
As I've said earlier, because by putting it on the exchange you're making it available for someone else to buy (thereby making money for the Club) and it it's a one off game, 10 points are completely useless to the person who buys the ticket.quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 12:41 pmAs per my reply above to Leisure. And as I’ve said before, they aren’t necessarily useless, especially given the rolling points system. There is no reason why you shouldn’t get points for buying single tickets.

Re: Loyalty Points Update
You have to have a ST to enable any loyalty points to be live so why would a ST holder need to buy another ticket?quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 12:39 pmNot sure if you’re intentionally misreading my post or not but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. They wouldn’t. Nobody is talking about ST holders buying another ticket.Claret Till I Die wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 1:18 pmYou have to have a ST to enable any loyalty points to be live so why would a ST holder need to buy another ticket?

I don’t need to get over anything. It’s a forum where people offer opinions. The situation benefits me so I’m not bothered, just having a conversation innit. God forbid anyone suggests things could be done more fairly and more inclusively.

Re: Loyalty Points Update
I can see both side of the discussion here
The only way points are worth anything is if you are a STH, so if you are already a STH then you wouldn’t need to purchase a ticket for home games.
However, to purchase a home ticket you need a Clarets number and you may in future get a STH and I can’t think of a reason why if you’ve purchased “odd tickets” within the rolling 5yrs why you shouldn’t be rewarded for it, if/when you do
