I don't think the turnstile operators notice how old people are.
There certainly wasn't a conversation of "i think he's old enough to wait on his own while you sort the issue".

I think even they would notice the difference between a 17yr old and an 11yr old. If not, I would certainly tell them

I know there have been mentions on here about the announcer and Phil Bird, so I thought I’d add my two penneth.

They are both utterly dreadful, embarrassingly so.

I'd take 2 announcers over 1 Phil bird

Burnley through and through shouldn't give you a free pass for being poor at your job.
Maybe he says it as it is, but a lot of the time it's wrong

I don't want the job, but I'll tell you one thing if I did do it, I would recognise the Burnley team as they came out of the tunnel, something he failed spectacularly with on Saturday. I would also read up on the rules of the game, and realise why the goalkeeper headed the ball when passed back to him, and not describe it as the strangest save I'd ever seen.

Its so he is in direct contact with the fourth official and the match manager. Its common at most football grounds.

If its not a pitchside announcer stood there, its a floor manager relaying information to the PA Room instead.
