This shite football will win us points simply because Hendrick and Defour are nowhere near either up to speed or fully tuned in yet. When they settle and become influential, confidence will grow and our football will flow.

As a casual unbiased observer, Burnley's football is awful to watch, last season or this.

Effective last season and points on the board is all that matters.

If it can be made effective again this season then only a small minority will be arsed.

I's like to see Ian Woan given the job but with Sean Dyche over seeing everything and making all the decisions.

If only we could play like Sunderland, going to Spurs and holding them bravely to 1-0.
So unlucky - until you see the stats 75% to 25% in favour of Spurs. We're not the only ones finding it tough.

I can see both sides of the coin here. There is no doubting that Dyche has been superb for us 2 back to back promotions from a very difficult league and generally we are very difficult to beat. We are very stable under Dyche and have a very harmonious squad.

Question marks are however raised about his flexibility and being able to react to situations during a match day. I could even put player recruitment in there aswell although the board should share some of that burden too.

For me this season Dyche needs to adapt and find other ways of picking up points this season, whether that's playing different formations for different teams ( essential) or being proactive during games to change something. If he doesn't or fails to adapt then it would signify that the current level he is at would be as far as he could go.

One thing is for sure we cannot sit and stifle a game hoping to steal one to win the game. Pressing in this league is only effective in small bursts as the teams are too good and quick at moving the ball
Around which will see us tire out badly and concede in the latter parts of the game.

Personally i feel we may aswell play 433 against the non elite teams in the league as we generally bypass midfield anyway and don't have enough forward options.

Questions need to be asked about the best way to compete at this level. Look at Watford. They got promoted and immediately replaced their Manager with someone they felt was better suited to help them survive the PL. It worked.

Not for a second am I saying we should sack Sean, that would be madness, but we need to plan for the future; especially if we think he might be on his way come the end of the season. Steve Bruce would be a very good option if we wanted a change though. The starting 11 he put together at Hull is very good. He's got a lot of PL experience too. It could be the way to push us to the next level.

So you want to replace a manager who's been relegated with another manager who's been relegated and walked out when it got tough at Hull?

I think krbfc is forward thinking intelligent fan who can see whats best for his club. Many others are fans stuck in the past, thinking loyalty will reward them in some way. The game has moved on from them days..

Having briefly read a couple of topics I thought I'd add my thoughts .

Sean dyche is unreal , absolutely love the guy , BUT I'm afraid on Saturday I did think watching the game , at least have a go .
Just seemed to negative . I agree other managers like Coyle would have made it more attacking and more watchable , it would probably have ended in the same points gained but at least we could have been proud .
Saturdays game for me was just absolutely the lowest point I've had watching Burnley . Sean you are the man but please dont give the premier league as much respect as you are doing and just go for it .
It's too late to regret things once we are down

Good Luck

If you could inform your fellow Blackburn fans that football has moved on and tell them to stop being stuck in the past that would be great.

Ha Ha Ha Ha it must be really good in that parallel Universe. One or two need a reality check we are what we are, I have no doubt we will be looking for a manager at the end of the Season whatever happens. The Football was never going to be particularly exciting certainly not for the first 10 or so games keep it tight see what happens makes total sense. We will settle and grow stop moaning and get behind the team. Happy clapping whatever you want to call it i prefer realistic.

Watford and southampton are the modern example that loyalty to managers is an outdated concept.
