As I've said several times now, but again just in case you didn't read it.....I'd prefer not to move....
Now how does that fit in with your ridiculous post.
It's a general feeling I have about you based on all your posts since you assumed your position on this board. I can be even more ridiculous and suggest you may even be Alan Pace's loyal chauffeur.
You seem to know very little about my town and club's history and the importance of the club to its welfare.

Instead of reading the posts of one or two on here and following like a sheep, actually do some research yourself, if you did you'd find I'm critical of the club in many issues
Communication
Moving fans
Ticketing systems
Food and drink on ground

Nobody has suggested the club is moving, but if it did it would still be in the town
I've never lived in Burnley, but had a season ticket since 1973, I've learnt a little of the clubs history in that time

It's very obvious you've never lived in Burnley and I would guess that your only connection to the town is the club. Maybe leave it to me to decide whether moving the club from it's present position in the town centre would be a good or bad thing for the town. I may be appearing a little harsh but I don't like people calling my town when they really haven't a real feel for it other than match days.

As for being a sheep, I would say I'm the opposite.

Like I said, I'd prefer not to move, but would happily put up with it if meant we'd been successful over a number of years and had outgrown turf Moor.
It is difficult to envisage any time when we will outgrow the Turf. There is ample room for further expansion on two sides of the ground should it be required. That is without coming to an agreement with the cricket club, which could potentially allow all four sides to be expanded. Other agreement could be fairly easily put in place for additional car parking facilities not too far away. Leaving the Turf is the very last and worst option that could be investigated.

It seems its more like, argue over something that isn't going to happen.

Amazed this thread has got to page 3 over what was meant to be a joke over naming rights.

Throw in a few bits of false information (that obviously can't be proved) and then you've got a full on conspiracy theory that some posters will hold onto with dear life such is their dislike for the owners.

All hypothetical at the moment, but whereas I’m sure a new stadium near the M65 would do well and increase revenue streams for an ownership group somewhere.. it’d be the end of me going. Which obviously isn’t a reason not to do it, a low spending legacy fan not attending is a bonus, not a reason against.

Take away the tradition, routine and history of going to the Turf and you’re then paying a fortune to watch your preferred franchise play soccer in another identikit bowl.
Who says any new stadium rebuild will make it "another identikit bowl?"
Have you already seen plans?

Fairly obvious that Row X (only registered on the message board in July 24 …for such a long term supporter…), is either a windup merchant or in the ALK fan club.
Either one is not a good look.

Not difficult to spot that you’re also in the ALK fan club/Windup merchant space as well. Can name a few others.

Just on stadiuns, what is the reason again Newcastle are allowed to hide the away fans so far away from the action in the Gods? Gives them such a massive advantage...

I'm sure it's been discussed on here previously, but I can't find the life of me remember the reason..

Not massively. I regularly posted on CM back in the day, but fell away from posting on message boards. Left Facebook and social-media and thought I’d register to keep up with all things Claret.

It’s a silly place at times here, but I’m not on the wind-up.

I have no issues with ALK, as an exiled Claret it’s pleasing to see the club being dragged into modern times. The Turf looks terrific, recruitment is by and large much improved, and we weren’t going to progress to ‘the next level’ with local owners.

Must admit, I find the level of venom towards Alan Pace a little troubling.

Let's please not turn another thread into personal attacks. We can all have strong opinions, and it is ok for somebody else's opinion to be different to our own.

I love Turf Moor and agree it is pivotal to the success of the town and can't see that ever changing. However, should at some point in the future the club propose a new stadium I would evaluate all the pros and cons at the time before forming a judgement.

If a new stadium was built, I'd suggest a name for it of the Stadium of Tears, after all of the weeping and gnashing of teeth I'd expect from these pages. A bit harsh, stealing a page from Sunderland, but there's my suggestion.

The towns economy would 100% be affected if we moved. Look at how busy the pubs and other town centre businesses are on a match day. Probably the only thing keeping a few of the pubs going.

When was the last time Burnley as a town was thriving.

Being brutally honest lots of fans have no loyalty to the town whatsoever, we visit for football, spend money in maybe one place, go to the game and go home. I want the football club to be successful, and if it is, the town won't suffer from where its at now, its the other 340 days a year without football it needs to be concerned about.
Compared to many surrounding towns and towns throughout the country I would say Burnley is thriving

Certainly in an upward trajectory

Turf Moor certainly adds to that

AI Overview

No, Burnley will not move from Turf Moor; the club is undertaking significant enhancements and redevelopment to the stadium for their Premier League return in the 2025/26 season, rather than relocating. These planned transformations are aimed at improving the fan experience and matchday atmosphere at their historic home ground, which they have played at since 1883.

I wouldnt be opposed to a new ground being built on the less attractive parts of Townley or Fulledge Rec...... possibly even Queens Park?

Not like we have a real lack of parkland in the town, i think we could stand to lose a bit for the good of the town's club.

In reality it has been knocked down and rebuilt. A bit more work joining a few parts together, maybe a re-roof or two and it'll be fine.

If you’re under 50, there’s a strong chance you’ll see Burnley play home games in a new stadium within your life time.

I don’t think we’ll move in the next 5-10 years, but as the stands get even older, a future owner is going to see a new stadium as the way forward for a variety of reasons.

If we’re still at Turf Moor in 30 years, it probably means that the club have had a prolonged period in the doldrums.
