Team for Leeds
Re: Team for Leeds
Dubravka
Walker Ekdal Esteve Hartman
Cullen Luis
Edwards Les Anthony
Broja
It's a risk starting Edwards and Broja, but I feel like we need a spark of quality on the wing and a genuine striker up front! I like Flemming, but he's a no.10 and not really a striker. He was a square peg in the Championship, but just about did enough. It's another thing to expect him to step up to the PL. Edwards and Broja aside, that's a hard working team with enough legs to give Edwards a bit of freedom to do what he does best.

Hannibal's ability to get under the skin of both opposition players & fans gives us a bit of bite and an edge that we've not had without him in the team. Yes he is not an out and out winger, but with Walkers ability to get forward and the extra man in a midfield 3 - the octopus could fill in for Walker as needed leaving Hannibal to drift inside and help the attack.
Where I would like to see a change this week is on the bench - I would drop Worral as we have Bashir who can play both LB & CH if called upon, and have both Edwards and Tresor on the bench - at the minute we are left with no one that can change a game, both of these players are a luxury and can on their day turn games on their heads - we've seen it happen - so we must have them has an option if we need to change the game plan up a bit - we are far too predictable and JBL offers very little coming off the bench.

This is my choice too although not fussed if it's Tuanzebe or Ekdal.

me neither to be honest, just going off Parker's selection for the last game when seemingly Ekdal wasn't injured but left out of the squad altogether

Re: Team for Leeds
Both Foster and Anthony shown at 75% chance of bring fit for Leeds on Fantasy Football, for what that's worth. Both said to have knocks.

Not heard or read anything to suggest Anthony would be missing.summitclaret wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 7:31 pmBoth Foster and Anthony shown at 75% chance of bring fit for Leeds on Fantasy Football, for what that's worth. Both said to have knocks.
Re: Team for Leeds
Anthony did get a bit of a kicking when we played Villa

It’s just based on him coming off injured against Villa.

Re: Team for Leeds
There is certainly a very good argument that we've missed Hannibal's energy and dynamism in the last couple of games. If Parker does want to persevere with some form of his flexible 3421/541 formation then we need players who are comfortable being flexible and have the awareness to do it. I think Hannibal's tactical awareness and understanding is a little underrated (and certainly I think it's far better than Tchaouna's right now). Hannibal has already shown he can be very effective as the right sided 10 charged with dropping into the right wing position, but I suspect he's also as well suited as anyone in our squad to playing as the out and out right "wing back". Tchaouna has played that role in the last couple of games but he's been a little unconvincing in it, and I think at this stage he might be best used either as an impact sub or in that right sided "10" role.CJ_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 3:09 pm..............Dubravaka

That would therefore probably leave the final midfield slot between Ugochukwu and Tchaouna - but I can see the argument, made elsewhere, that Brunn Larsen has shown a quality of delivery this season against United that noone else has yet matched, so perhaps he does also come into the mix. If he's fit, Foster surely starts up front.

What games have you been watching, walker has played wing back, not Tchaouna.claretspice wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:07 pmThere is certainly a very good argument that we've missed Hannibal's energy and dynamism in the last couple of games. Re: Team for Leeds
Sorry - you're right and I've got that wrong. Thst being the case it's still true that with Laurent at centre back at Walker a genuine wing back, the structure has been different and I don't think that's helped Tchaouna.

Re: Team for Leeds
The same team, same approach as against villa. If foster is injured, Flemming will replace. Leeds are better than villa, expect to be three down after 20 min.
