Why does everyone I watch have way more energy, commitment and positivity than us?

How is the Austria player not off? He trod on the goalkeepers face, and by the look of the replay, he deliberately pushed his foot back to make sure that he was caught by something and only had contact with the face.
Reckless to say the least.

Agreed, The Austrian player dived, dragged his right leg and ended up kicking the Keeper in the face.

With the obvious exception.

Anyway, is it really that much more exciting than usual, or is it because we've had to endure really tedious football in the Premier league for a season?

The games have generally been quite end to end. I wonder whether the expanded format has made the lesser teams play with more freedom.

Typical that it was the English Contingent that have made the first major error of the tournament after about 5 minutes of a fairly simple VAR check.

How that has been given offside I have no idea

The offside player is stood exactly where the goalkeeper needs to dive to save it. Definitely offside.

The problem is the offside player was preventing the goalkeeper from diving, so I’m not sure the criticism is completely justified.

Like a child who hits other children with his toys, they should just take VAR away from us because we clearly don't know how to use it properly in England. Absolutely ridiculous decision to deny that goal.
