I don't agree with the decision either but the wording of the rule allows for the interpretation that disallowed the goal.
That is true but I’ll never agree with the outcome and why depriving a second interpretation by the on field by the VAR official was a missed opportunity to get it correct. I don’t agree with anybody saying the correct decision was reached.
Shout out to the poster who thinks in football it is possible to come back infield in that situation to avoid offside. That is the problem for me, too many people who have never played the game thinking they know everything

They do appear, though, to have got rid of those square posts. Much too late, however.

Little bit of nostalgia for elderly Clarets like myself. This afternoon's game between Czech Rep. and Georgia being played at the Vollspark(sp) Stadium in Hamburg. Quite different to what I remember from one dull afternoon in March 1961 when I rushed home from junior school to watch us play the 2nd leg of our European Cup tie v Hamburg. Won't dwell on the scoreline and outcome. They do appear, though, to have got rid of those square posts. Much too late, however.
Ditto Silky

Another pass back to the keeper scores an own goal.
Don't pass back between the posts, especially if you aren't actually looking to see where your keeper is.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but why the hell do ITV have a manager from the lower reaches of the Championship giving his 'expert' opinion on the games.

Don’t worry Danny Rohl is returning to his duties at Sheffield Wednesday after this stint. As with buses another coach will be along soon

Well I think this game has put to bed the age-old debate over who is the better team out of Portugal and Turkey.

Surprisingly a very one sided game and won effectively by the away team.

Any chance GS can just select the eleven players who start and then have them pick a number from 1 to 11 out of a drawstring bag as to where they line up.
Pickford gets the last number?
Asking for a friend
I know this is a couple of days late chaps, but I was fishing the last couple of days.
Needed something relaxing before I put in my two penneth worth.

Why can’t England play on the front foot like this Belgium team? We have got just as good players.
To answer my own question….. Gareth Southgate.
Cracking match this.

2-0 KDB. Not that I think he should be penalised in any way, but how come when a player makes a tackle and follows through like that they’re sent off, but KDB shoots on the slide and follows through into the goalkeeper’s shin?

I think he would have been had Lukaku touched it, but I think it went straight from the keeper to KDB.

De Bruyne really going the extra mile in his International shirt.
Not seen that from any England player, quite the opposite.

Belgium needed a win.
We are in the box-seat and would expect to go through with 4 points. Sad, isn't it?

Scotland playing the usual boring British way already. Square passing at the back, forward ball to midfield who then pass it immediately back to defense. Yawn.

Robertson’s set piece delivery is awful. In all three games he’s hardly ever managed to get it past the first man.
