£1.5m a week salary too. They will have an unhappy player on their hands.

With the figures being paid for average guys he’s worth it but £75m/week, probably tax free, is utter madness.
As long as they have gazillions they will pay it. I can see English clubs trying to match them and going under and I would let them. Leicester, Mboro, Derby, BHA should all have been gone. Look at the success they’ve had on their corruption.

Awfully quiet on the left back front.

We surely can’t be going into this season with just Delcroix in that role

No English club or European club will match them because of the financial rules

The higher the cost, the better to them. It allows them to launder larger amounts quicker.

Salah said earlier that he wasn't interested although he might change his mind with the money on offer. He could though be one of those players who don't move just for money and doesn't fancy going there. He still has a lot to offer in Europe and has plenty of time to move for the money if he wants.

Twitter saying AC Milan have knocked back both Burnley and Forest offers for Origi as they don't want to pay the full wage. If they aren't going to play him they might as well get half of his wage off the books.

Are they? If Liverpool could get £200m for him, that'd more than offset the financial risk of their perhaps not making it into the Champions league as a result; they're hardly going to get relegated as a result of selling.

Sky only believe the PL consists of the "Big 6" plus Newcastle and Brighton.

Perhaps they thought the sight of all those zeros would make the scousers dizzy and get an immediate “yes please”….

Liverpool I would imagine are thinking they will up the offer.

Don’t forget Brentford and Palace too as it’s an easy commute to televise their games so they need to promote them too.

Surely there is a LB somewhere willing to play for us. I'll put on my boots myself if they are that strapped for someone.

If Al-Ittihad return with an offer in the £175m region then surely Liverpool wouldn't turn it down? You really are getting into silly money territory. They have Jota, Luis Diaz, Gakpo and Nunez already, which isn't a bad start. I suspect there would be time to at least bring someone else in on loan if Salah was to leave.

If you have ever watched the Sky Transfer Show you will know this is true.
They spend the first 20 minutes discussing Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and the presenter says “we are going into a break now but when we come back I want to talk more about Arsenal”.

Especially as he’s on the wrong side of 30 too. Should be snapping their hand off at £175m+

I’d be replacing him with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if I was Liverpool. Perfect replacement.

I’m sure they can play him, Gakpo, Luiz and/or Jota there.

Only other alternative I can initially think of would be Leroy Sane or Kingsley Conan from Bayern

Surely if wages were a problem for Lokonga then Luton won't be his final destination. They have less cash than us.
If it's the only offer he might want to play rather than sitting around. He was probably waiting for a better offer to come in and it hasn't happened.

What is he then?
He can't defend, he's more of a winger, midfielder, look where Chelsea have played him, in the cup game he was cam

We had that last season, and he still isn't a LB
He's a left back at our level.
