The booing when the Germans have possession is embarrassing.

Their right side has sussed that Sterling hasn't got a left foot.

Re: Today's Games
good chance for Werner because Kane fails to compete for a header, no idea what's wrong with him but he's playing with lead in his boots again

Kane may as well have left his suit on. Anonymous so far, or is it a ploy ?

Our two holding midfielders aren't picking the runners up , they're just running round in circles .

Re: Today's Games
Why aren't we swinging the ball into the box at the first opportunity ?
Walker, just then according to the comms, didn't trust himself to do just that. !!!!!!!!

Re: Today's Games
As an attacking force, we are shite.
Re: Today's Games
I genuinely think Kane’s issue is the weight of the captain’s responsibility

We better score from this embarrassment!!

Re: Today's Games
If only we had an attacking midfielder who would get into most international teams whose talent has been recognised by the worrlds best coach and rates him as a 100 million pound player to get him to sign for him........oh hang on the former Middlesbrough boss thinks otherwise.

Re: Today's Games
3 at the back with two full backs, two wingers and two holding midfielders unsurprisingly gives sod all support to Kane and not much through the middle from an attacking perspective.
To be fair though, we’ve looked half decent so far.

Bs, England playing really well here, how about you support the national side and stop whining about Southgate for onceexpoultryboy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 5:36 pmOur two holding midfielders aren't picking the runners up , they're just running round in circles .

could easily see Henderson replacing either Philips or Rice because of the bookings

Re: Today's Games
After a slow start its been a good first half with us the better team. Germany look good on the break and you can see why Southgate has set us up the way he has.
I feel more tense and nervous about this game than any Burnley match over the last few years. Gonna be a twitchy second half and could go either way

Very droll, Funky.

Re: Today's Games
deluded, England have been the far better side here, the system and selection is working well. You keep banging that anti Southgate drum though because he managed Boro 14 years agobfcjg wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 5:44 pmIf only we had an attacking midfielder who would get into most international teams whose talent has been recognised by the worrlds best coach and rates him as a 100 million pound player to get him to sign for him........oh hang on the former Middlesbrough boss thinks otherwise.
Re: Today's Games
Only grumble from that half is Walker should have crossed first time but he dawdled and Shaw needs to push on.

I think the pundits have been kind to Kane its like playing with 10. He has been utter utter shite. No pressure on the defenders, no movement.

Re: Today's Games
Good, entertaining first half.
We should be targeting Rudiger a bit more.
How he didn't get a booking for his early body check I don't know.
Everyone's done well thus far, I'm not sure what changes, if any, should be made.

Kane must be injured.
I’m not his biggest fan anyway and have said so a few times but he’s so far off the pace it’s untrue.

Re: Today's Games
You look at the creativity on our bench, and then we have ostensibly seven defenders out on the pitch.

Re: Today's Games
Germany also have match winners Sane and Gnabry on their bench
Re: Today's Games
This isn't football manager, Phillips and Trippier have been anything but just defensive players in this game. The system and selection has worked so far. Btw Germany are also playing the same formation...dougcollins wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 5:59 pmYou look at the creativity on our bench, and then we have ostensibly seven defenders out on the pitch.

Re: Today's Games
The best results of any England manager since the 60s. You look like a desperate idiot banging on about him managing Boro 14 years ago
