Hull, Palace, Swansea and Leicester have all showed signs of resurgence but even so they all have ground to make up and have yet to show they will consistently pick up points.
Spijed's post is v interesting because it shows that we've extended our lead away from the bottom over the last 10 games, depsite the aboves' improvement in form and despite us playing only 4 games at home in the league and also playing pretty much all the top 4
And that table was straight after Big Sam's first game in charge of Palace (1-1 draw with Watford). They were four points behind, now six - with a game in hand.
It's not easy for teams to close the gap at the bottom in the PL.

Perfectly.
That was two huge points dropped by Sunderland.

Nope. Not imo. But even though it was away to Sunderland, it's still a point gained and put us nearer to survival. A win I think would have put us pretty much there, but still work to do.

Strange odds are those. Leicester certainly look like they'll finish above us, so too Swansea.

I have heard from the club that next year we'll be able to buy half tickets for home matches only so we don't have to waste time and money travelling to the away games.

At a guess there are live odds which will flunctuate week to week game to game, as it stands Leicester & Swansea odds will swing as will ours dependant on a myriad of factors. At the moment the odds quoted are roughly how things are looking now.

We're not safe until we're safe. Some fans have been saying we're safe for ages but we were all a little nervous today. I can't see us not gaining a few more points before the end of the season so we should be. Cautiously optimistic

If we were fans of any other team in the division, we would be looking at us right now and saying they are safe without a doubt.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to get our first away win of the season against Boro, and make their demise ever more likely. Last seasons bad grace might just come back to bite them in the ar5e again. Karma can be a b!tch.

For us to get that first away win, and effectively see us safe and them relegated would be a proper treat.

It's a shame we can't officially relegate them on Saturday.

I'd buy it for the first half. second half we tend to get overrun.

I thought we wouldn't another game too!
We're in twelfth place, that's utterly amazing and I reckoned 32-35 points was going to be the hardest three points to get, the three points that maybe wouldn't even come.
I am currently eating my words.

We're not safe on 35 points.
We need another 3 or 4 to be safe, me thinks.
Looking at their remaining fixtures then I think both Hull and Swansea are capable of getting another 3 wins - possibly more.
If they do then they'll be both on 36/37 points. Possibly more if they manage more than 3 wins.
Looking at our remaining fixtures then I'd like to believe we can get those 3 or 4 points.
Out goal difference is worth another point to us so we may get there with just another 3 points.
But i think we'll need 38 or 39 points to be safe.
