CLARETS CLUCAS BID REJECTED
Hull have rejected an improved £10m bid for Sam Clucas from Burnley.
Sky sources reported last week that the Tigers had rejected an initial offer for the 26-year-old's services, who is believed to want a return to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old, who missed only one Premier League game last season, signed a three-year contract with the Sky Bet Championship side last season and it is understood the club do not want to lose the midfielder.

If he wants a move he has to force their hand and submit a transfer request, given he has a long-term contract we may not get this one over the line.IAmAClaret wrote:CLARETS CLUCAS BID REJECTED

Our transfer policy isn't clueless.
its completely the opposite if we are being fair.

What like selling Gray before we had a replacement and then bidding for multiple targets we have not done detailed research on.Lancasterclaret wrote:Our transfer policy isn't clueless.

Not to mention that we clearly haven't bid the same amount in consecutive days.

Ridiculous post! What do you know about what is going on at our club? Apart from the fact we're starting our 3rd premiership season in 4 years and have the best group of players we've had in my lifetime.joey13 wrote:What like selling Gray before we had a replacement and then bidding for multiple targets we have not done detailed research on.

How the hell can you know or say that? Of course we will have done research on potential targets.joey13 wrote:What like selling Gray before we had a replacement and then bidding for multiple targets we have not done detailed research on.
If you think that Dyche wouldn't either do it himself or have a trusted team in place to do the research on the player and his background, I think you'd be very wrong.

I'm sure SD knows exactly what he's doing. But you cannot always land your main targets.

Its all guess work really from us fans, but it does look like the final piece in our Jigsaw is still the recruitment side of things, home and abroad. Would be interested to know what budget is in place on the recruitment side.

Hahaha what a completely moronic post. You do realise that the people on this board don't sign the players and so just because we (the majority of us anyway) don't know a lot about a player and have only seen them in Youtube clips doesn't mean the club don't know anything about them.joey13 wrote:What like selling Gray before we had a replacement and then bidding for multiple targets we have not done detailed research on.
I bet you are one of those people who shouts at actors in the streets if they happen to play a nasty character in a TV program

What does make me laugh is the vitriol from some posters when someone offers a different opinion.

I don't think anyone has a problem with a different opinion Joey, but it has to be based on something slightly more tangible than claiming that SD and the recruitment team watch youtube for research.

Wood/Clucas are Mr Dyche' preferred options I'm lead to believe (10 mil is the bid for Clucas, but we are nowhere near the reported bid of 20 mil for Wood currently)
Defender being eyed up is Sakho at Liverpool

Swansea now 11/10 on Sky bet to sign Clucas. Newcastle also higher in the running. We've dropped to 6/1.

Bardsley got a slight pay rise to come here I'm told which was 40k a week at Stoke.
Jack Cork will be top earner now you would think by the clubs he has been at.

maybe we could give them 30 million for Sakho and Ings lol

Is that likely with Bardsley considering he is likely to be a bench warmer at most and wasn't even in the squad at Chelsea?Quickenthetempo wrote:Bardsley got a slight pay rise to come here I'm told which was 40k a week at Stoke.

We're almost as bad as Chelsea in the transfer market.
Selling Matic with no adequate replacement and alienating Costa before they'd secured Lukaku and that from The Manager of the season.
