Re: Koeman sacked
If Sean Dyche quits his role at Burnley to become manager of Everton, taking key personnel of his backroom staff with him, he will be well aware that he could well scupper our survival chances this season and undo much of his hard work in the process. That is even before we start to worry about key players in Mee and Tarkowski following him out of the door in January.

Re: Koeman sacked
The only reason SD is at Burnley is because no other club has offered him a better job.
I'm happy with him being here and believe that if he does leave the next manager will still succeed as the club is well run from top to bottom with, and most importantly, no billy big heads in the team on mega money causing rifts anywhere.
One of the reasons we are doing well this season, along with the fact we have better players, is letting Andre Grey go. That was good management.

We'll be fishing in the pool of out of work managers with PL experience (Moyes, Pardew etc.) or up and coming Championship managers.

I think if Everton appoint a manager who's best ever performance is 16th there will be meltdown amongst the Everton fans. Same may apply at King Power.
Think Sean has a bit more to prove to those that live outside Turf Moor before he gets a job where expectations are as high as these two

To be fair, you or me could get Benfica in the CL. The Portuguese league is not much better than the Scottish PL in terms of teams that genuinely compete. I know (amazed anybody asked you!) you think Jesus could do a job but I would ask you why no other teams have come in for him given there are always plenty of vacancies at bigger teams than us all across Europe in much bigger leagues - you would expect him to be perfect for La Liga for example.KRBFC wrote:Id be happy with a Champions League calibre coach

Benfica, Porto and Sporting are good sides certainly nothing like Celtic who consistently get a free pass to the CL and get walked through with ease. If we played in the Portuguese league we certainly wouldn't be ahead of any of these sides despite the massive TV money we receive compared with the Portuguese sides.Vegas Claret wrote:To be fair, you or me could get Benfica in the CL. Bigger clubs like AC Milan, Monaco etc have all tried to tempt him away in the past while he was at Benfica but he turned them down to stay in Portugal.
Re: Koeman sacked
I'm entitled to my opinion, if I dislike Dyches football and would like to see someone else given a go then that's absolutely nothing to do with you. I thank Dyche for the success (results) and off field progress but I believe the players need a new voice with new ideas, now is the perfect time for him to move on. We have had a decent start, we could use that start to really attract a better manager while our stock is as high as it ever will be.OrientMascot wrote:No, he’s just ******* fed up of reading your drivel. Why do people go out of their way to be upset by KRBFC? As though they are forced into reading his comments or can't block him etc.
I for one actually read what he writes and not just see what I want and go in a blind rage and then abuse him.
It's the same treatment ablue gets, they see the username then just proceed to abuse.
It's kind of a form of bullying in a way.

Dyche is wrong for Everton. He would do well if given time to implement his methods and get the team fit but they don’t have time. They need someone to come in and turn it around straight away.

No it really really isn't. I've had the odd sensible conversation with KRBFC in his/her earlier days on here but he/she has brought an awful lot of what he/she gets by making unnecessary comments. I'll be honest, I'm amazed KRBFC hasn't been banned at this point. Re: Koeman sacked
trouble is Sid, they need a new manager rapidly with the way they're playing. Dyche knows full well this kind of job won't come along too often.Sidney1st wrote:Regardless of if they fit or not etc I suspect Dyche has more about him then to walk out on a job during the season.
Didn't Boden state there was a gentleman's agreement not to poach another PL clubs manager after the Owen Coyle fiasco?
That's probably still in place because it doesn't seem to happen nowadays.
I'd like to think Dyche is a man of honour and will stay until the end of the season at least.
He'd get more kudos keeping us up again and improving our league position then he would jumping ship.
Plus we all know he likes a summer to get his ideas across and fitness levels improved.
I think he'd make it work at Everton if he went though.
Everton will obviously have to secure a new manager soon, end of the season makes it impossible for Dyche to take the offer because the post will have been filled.
He'll be our manager but every time a vacancy crops up if we are still riding high, he'll be a target for other clubs.
Everton job is massive, think of the kudos of digging a giant like them out of the mire, he is hot property right now. They could easily afford to pay Burnley off for his services. Leicester and Palace were poor by comparison, everton are a completely different story.
Colossal pay rise and much bigger pot of cash to buy players, Not so sure about how things are done thesedays in terms of poaching managers mid point of a season, but IF they want him, I very much doubt he'll hesitate to accept.

Confirmation tonight that this is a £6 million a year job, more than even Diego Simeone earns at Atletico, which clearly is going to be a massive concern. He's been superbly rewarded for success at Burnley but a salary of that magnitude might be impossible for him to turn down.
Rumours tonight also that Kenwright is a big fan of Dyche. Perhaps we should now be worried.

If Everton want Dyche they will get Dyche.
Think the toffees fans won't be too dismayed about Dyche either as they have had a successful period with another pragmatic manager in Moyes.
Will be an interesting few days/weeks. If Sean does go i wouldn't be too disappointed with Derek McInnes as a replacement.

Re: Koeman sacked
When did Dyche overtake Eddie Howe in the eyes of the media when it comes to the best of the bright young managers?
Is it simply because Afcb have had an indifferent start to the season. With respect, their football is much easier on the eye than ours and they have comfortably finished mid table the past two seasons.
He hardly seems to have been mentioned, despite apparently being a lifelong Everton fan (according to the BBC).
