Like everyone else I’d be gutted to see Ben go, I’ll never forget that audacious header at the Reading players feet, I literally cringed.
But 80k a week? Sorry Ben.
He may achieve that at a top 6 club and good luck to him, but he’ll never start and in my opinion will only ever just be a plugging mechanism with 15-20mins to go for his paymasters.

We've got to keep a lid on wages, I imagine it's very easy to see them spiral out of control. Only our very best players and biggest assets getting +£50k p/w. Pretty sure the board are sensible enough to stick to this. If Ben Mee's agent can get him £80k p/w then that's a very good agent, we'd be replacing him relatively easily in my opinion.
