Hopefully in the opposite corner by the visiting fans. I would finally be able to see the screen.

In that case brilliant. I hope you get to use it.

Was just under the impression every box was always sold.

Can't believe BFC hierarchy are still not sure where to place the 2nd screen. A large chunk of the Jimmy H stand have never been able to see the current sole screen. When the question was put to Mike Garlick at the Foundation Q&A earlier this year, he alluded to the fact that screen costs have come down dramatically and as a result we would be having the luxury of a 2nd screen and this was likely to be linked to the corner stand developments. Excellent. "Club were still to decide where to place it??" Didn't think there were that many options but hey what do I know? Some people can turn a 5 minute meeting into a 3 day conference.......................

What people do is remember a comment from months ago, read rumours on some messageboard, and then, for some reason, get really annoyed at a fabricated conclusion

By club use, do you mean storing tables and chairs? That’s what it looked like yesterday although could just have been because it was a friendly.

They have special days, like Samaritans day or Community day. They keep one box reserved for those.

The former might be very busy if the season pans out like some of the doom mongers on here envisage.

The " Hamburg " and " Jimmy Adamson " suites are situated in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand and are used every Premier League matchday . You can buy a season ticket in there, or alternatively, they're used by people for birthday treats, Christmas presents and also the " Ladies " days & other events are held there ....

https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/com ... rtunities/

So they're in full use throughout the season, helping the Club to maximise revenue, as they should !! :D

If I have an early onset of Alzheimer's then I apologise. However that is not the case. I was at the Foundation Q&A a few months ago and our very own Monsieur Garlick confirmed at the time the 2nd screen but was not sure where to locate it? Months later.... no change. Don't think annoyed comes into it. Just flagging up that MG used to be indecisive now he's not so sure.

Update from a DSA meeting last night, Doug Metcalf said December, this is a further delay from saying November a matter of weeks ago.

Bad weather I’m sure will delay in more...

It’s probably going to be at least next spring in reality.

Depend what they find that delay things.

Even Spurs are now well behind with their new stadium and they'll be now playing a number of games at Wembley as a result.

Oh come on, they're building a completely new stadium, we are building 2 corner facilities.

It doesn't matter if there are unforeseen problems, regardless of the size of build.

Was in the club shop today and had a look through the fence at the progress being made round the back.....was just a big hole with broken up concrete in it.. .looks to be a million miles away from finishing any time soon. But what do I know.

I am absolutely amazed at the lack of progress. There must be some major issue with the groundwork far beyond what is being guessed at. I originally knew they had no chance of completing for the start of the season but now I will be surprised if it is available for our disabled fans any time this season. Very very hard to understand what is going on. I really don’t understand why there has been no announcement as to the real reason for the hold up. Maybe there are legal or financial constraints between the club and the builders that prevents either party saying anything meaningful.

Maybe they'll say bugger it ...and redevelope the whole of the jmac stand with a nice state of the art facility inclusive of the original corners....it may be more financially viable ...just a thought!

All these issues can probably be traced back to one person/team of people. I'm pointing at the Surveyors involved in the project. Blaming the club isn't the way on this one!

Apparently there's been a slight delay because the F.A are still not quite sure about how to incorporate safe standing for the carers of the disabled.

Does make you wonder how they were allowed to build the two stands given the problems with two small corners on the same ground! Presume surveyors regulations were a bit more laid back in the mid 90’s!!

our safe standing carers are rubbish, Brighton and Huddersfield signed loads of them in the summer - their scouting network is way better than ours, we are rubbish !

BFC operates like a secret state, more chance of secrets leaking from the MI5 than the club giving any solid information to it's own supporters.

They were all stood around this afternoon watching the game.

Someone has dropped a real bollock on that contract.

They have nearly finished building a new housing estate on Sycamore Avenue whilst they've been
pratting about with this little project.

Absolutely pathetic, looks like our disabled supporters and their carers face another winter of sitting out in the elements getting soaked to the skin and freezing their nuts off. No sign of any apology or explanation from the club surprise surprise.

Can the poster Irac shed any light on the hold up? He was quite vocal on page 1 of this post, so it would be great, even if it's a likely completion date, just to give people an idea what the issue is, or whether people might expect to see completion this season.

Fairly poor on the clubs part not to release any updates. Do they not know/care that the disabled supporters are about to spend another winter sat in the dogshit conditions?

Yep i think the bob lord may be worth developing rather than filling the corners in, dosent really make sense as theyll have to be knocked down anyway if we redevelop the stadium in future.

Better to knock down bob lord and build a curved half bowl like structure surely?

Need to keep ourselves in prem first though obviously!

Last update from the club to the disabled fans was about 3 weeks ago and the estimate then was December.

Since then, no further work has been done, So I assume they'll be delayed further.

I'd wager they'll try and delay it to see if we look like we're going to stay up.

If we go down, they don't need to do it anyway, only decided to do it because they've been forced by Premier League and Level Playing Field.

I take my Grandad to the match in his wheelchair and it's been damaged using the temporary arrangements already, with no offer to pay for the repair from the club, just a ''we'll have it sorted out by the next home game'' so it doesn't happen again.

They really are a shambles.

They should have gone the ryanair way. “Ready for season 19-20”. Then when it’s done we get du-du-du-du duu-duuuuuuur, big fanfare. What clever boys we are finishing it early.

Be interesting to know what the view is like from there. It just looks like your peripheral vision will be an issue with the stands to either side.

A complaint from a "fan" on Twitter that with the big screen moving or about to be moved (not bothered about reading the article, doesn't interest me) that he's constantly having to get his phone out to check how long is left.............there are other options like a good old fashioned watch.

How did spectators back in the day cope without an annoying big screen?

This complaint is on a different level, even included the PL in the tweet saying they should fine the club he "supports". Different level.

Man United had an early electronic scoreboard, but it was just moving words scrolling along a narrow strip. No pictures.

I've heard the delays were caused by 3 separate issues (any one of which would generally incur a big delay on site progress; all 3 at the same time would be a complete nightmare to deal with):

1) hit an old water main they didn't know was there (presume this was the reason for the recent road/water main works on Harry Potts Way)

2) found traces of gas from old mine workings (should have checked for this when they built the 2 stands; perhaps this was a new build-up of gas in the period since the 2 stands were constructed)

3) found some ACMs (asbestos containing materials) which appeared to have been dumped/buried from the previous stand works
