We could sign Michael Ricketts now and I would see it as a positive. That’s how bad this window has been.KRBFC wrote:Just please stop with this optimistic nonsense, reality check needed and some ambition.

Not at all. Best news we’ve had for days. Read article on Up the Clarets.IndigoLake wrote:Stoke City boss Gary Rowett has issued a hands-off warning to Burnley over Peter Crouch:

Only to Crouch’s agent. They aren’t similar players.joey13 wrote:Thought this would have legs

Re: Peter Crouch linked
I think we should use him in the Hendrick role. Deceptively skillful for a big man.
Re: Peter Crouch linked
I agree with your second sentence but your first sentence....are you serious?

Although, having another think, mkmel, look at it like this: experienced pro, got the nous to see those pockets of space between the lines, links play, slips the balls into the channels for the likes of Wood, or (dare I say it, Wells) to run on to. Bob's your uncle, could be just the solution we're looking for!

I'd rather have Crouch on the bench than Wells/Walters that's for damned sure.

Re: Peter Crouch linked
Part of me thinks this link is to force WBA's hand. Burnley are 'focussing their attentions elsewhere' to push through an agreement, while WBA are claiming there is competition from other clubs to make Burnley meet the players valuation.
Mind you, I suggested this with the supposed interest in Wells in the last window - and he ended up signing.

Re: Peter Crouch linked
So long as his legs haven't gone I'd take him! Seriously.

Re: Peter Crouch linked
As long as his Mrs comes to watch its a no brainier.
Re: Peter Crouch linked
Crouch doesn't need legs, although they still operate . He would join our other heroes on an Alamo seige, at the end of matches where we trail or need a winner.
