He said he was going into an environment where he wasn’t entirely happy ,could be taken either wayGoobs wrote:He says he wasn't happy which is probably down to injury and therefore lack of game time. He doesn't specifically say the atmosphere at the club was bad.

If I have rendered you speechless then I'll take that and the bucket load of thank you's that will likely followVegas Claret wrote:if that's what you took from that then I don't know what else to say

Wasn't entirely happy with the environment . It does seem to point to an issue, but this could be anything down to not playing not being offered another deal or being told he's not up to scratch which must have been the case as he went to Fleetwood not villa or forest

listen to the whole interview, he chooses his words very carefully all the way through. He previously mentions his injury in the interview and could easily have said "I was previously injured and wasn't playing so needed to move" - he didn't, he choose the word environment - I can only interpret that one way

Marney peaked in 14/15 season, he spent the majority of time in the Premiership either injured or on the bench, it says it all that he is now an also ran in a League 1 team, he is miles away from even being good enough for our bench.

Anyone who thinks Marney was premier league class when we released him is clearly not going to listen to anyone telling him that he's not.

If a player said in an interview that he loved the club, loved the manager and loved all his teammates and the staff you'd find a way to interpret that as negative.Vegas Claret wrote:listen to the whole interview, he chooses his words very carefully all the way through. He wasn't fit though was he, before the end of last season?TomtheClaret wrote:Heard that as well. Also that Heaton was mad as hell that dyche had been dangling a carrot that if he was fit before end of last season, he would get his place back to get chance to challenge for England spot.
If he was then when Pope got injured Hart wouldn't be here.

He was fit from about April if memory serves, at the start of this season, he pulled a calf muscle - again if memory serves, which ruled him out of the early European games, hence the club signing HartGodIsADeeJay81 wrote:He wasn't fit though was he, before the end of last season?

I have a part time job working for a betting company, the other day I did Villa / Birmingham... I was told bye a member of staff that Tom was a dead cert to sign for Villa, but now the have signed a new keeper, so I guess that’s a no no...I’m told that PNE Are interested and also possibly Leeds
