Shame. You can only imagine how good he’d be now if he hadn’t suffered several awful injuries.

Re: Today's games
Is there anybody who has a fantasy football team without Grealish in it ?
The movement of Cash’s shorts is the evidence it came of his thigh , lucky guy as arm away from body

Re: Today's games
They have to say that, they are commentating on a match being watched by lots of Villa fans, so they play to the audience.
Tomorrow against Chelsea, the same commentator will probably be enthusing about how we won in the face of adversity, due to our indomitable spirit.
The best thing to do is ignore both statements, or if that isn't possible watch the game with the sound off. You'd think with all the options on audio now, that Sky would have clicked onto the option to watch a game with natural stadium sounds, and NO commentary at all.
Re: Today's games
Two Villa players just tackled each other and got a free kick, the VAR bloke must be asleep

Re: Today's games
70 minutes in, and not a shot on target from Saints. You can't score if you don't get efforts on target.
Edit 1 shot on target now. Good save by Martinez.

He signed a contract with us, delivered what we expected and more. Outgrew us and was always going to have the chance to better himself.
Injuries scuppered his chances at Liverpool.
Went to Southampton, delivered what was expected and more and has outgrown them so unlikely to opt to stay.

Re: Today's games
How on earth have Saints not scored, they've bossed the last 20 minutes, but they just can't bury their chances, TBF Martinez has played well when called upon, and he's heading for another clean sheet.

Re: Today's games
we all get the need to use technology to scrutinize for fairness, but this is shambolic. Apart from taking the magic away from the fans after a goal is scored.

Re: Today's games
Is this person on the wind-up, taken from the BBC text feed, they surely can't be serious can they.
Talk of 'unfair' VAR decisions merely disguises Southampton's myriad problems and plays into the overblown myth that is Ralph Hasenhuttl. Ultimately the guy is miles out of his depth and needs to go.
Hasenhuttl has done a great job at Southampton, and if 11th isn't good enough for a club of their size then what hope has any manager got, good grief it was only a couple of months ago they topped the table fleetingly, and their injury list is vast for a club with a relatively small squad, what happened to patience and giving the manager a chance to actually build something constructive.

Saints and VAR
Just seen 2 daft VAR decisions on MotD that went against Southampton. Ings unlucky to be called offside and the handball penalty decision was just inexplicable

Re: Saints and VAR
Well spotted.
According to the lawmakers the handball isn’t because it was thigh first, apparently.
The offside is offside...no argument about offsides because is it either is or isn’t

Re: Today's games
It’s unacceptable to have goals disallowed for offside in the way they are currently being.

Re: Today's games
True! but that's not down to VAR it's down to the rules not favouring the attacker in a tight call., So if they went to see more borderline goals awarded then change the rules.
