Re: Aaron Lennon
It’d be interesting on a straw poll if people wanted a return it seems quite divisive.

Re: Aaron Lennon
Lennon contributed very little last time round. To be even considering spending scarce resources on him now is just absurd. Is there not one , young , hungry wide player anywhere that we can recruit ?? The idea that we have a recruitment department and they would come up with Lennon is risible.

Re: Aaron Lennon
If its Lennon or nobody then with our lack of wingers the best of those two options is obviously Lennon. If he does sign and no other winger is signed then the criticism is the fact we have managed to end up with the choice between Lennon or nothing and that could only be assessed as a poor showing in the transfer window
If we give Lennon a contract and get another winger seen as a potential starter then that for me is acceptable

Ryan Christie should be right up our street. He’s a hard working never stops running type of player. A better version of Arfield

Re: Aaron Lennon
I don’t think Lennon was allowed to contribute much tbh . He was rarely played wide ,always inside and often just had tracking job and using his pace ( which he still has ) Was often switched as well . He’s an out n out winger who might just be able to share a season with the slower and fading JBG

Re: Aaron Lennon
Lennon is a no brainer. He will be on a free, knows the manager the lads and our style of play, he also has bags of premier league experience
Far more sensible than putting your lot behind an unknown Brazilian

Re: Aaron Lennon
It's tough for wingers playing in our setup, will all the defensive work they're expected to do. A lot of the time watching Lennon I felt our system was restricting him.

TBH, that is emotional claptrap.Spijed wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 12:40 pmIf there are other managers out there that are performing miracles on a shoe string where are they?
How come every one who writes about the job SD is doing for the national media continues to say he's doing a brilliant job?
Name one, just one manager who is as regarded as highly as SD by anyone not connected to BFC who works on a small budget.
Btw, I'll just add that you and a few other posters have NEVER had anything to say about SD, so it's no surprise about your comments.
I have praised the efforts of SD and his staff when deserved.
I accept that I lost respect for him when he showed what I considered to be disrespect towards BFC.
As for managers capable of working on a small budget: plenty of really good managers don't have to prove they can do this. Doesn't mean they couldn't.
