There were some very senior players out there this morning, including Jimmy who should have had a big say in that passage of play, which ultimately will cost England the match..

Roots not a bad captain. He just doesn’t have anything to work with. He needs at least 3 more top order batsmen and probably a couple of bowlers with archer out and with Jimmy’s age.

Can’t see that. Who takes it over? They definitely won’t give it to stokes now. Root should hold it for at least a couple of years. Hopefully we find a couple of good batters in that time.

Curran is simply not a test match standard player. Wouldn’t get near the squad as a bowler or a batter so why is he there. Sprays some shite down leg side and then slogs a few.
