Stop mctommaney dictating the match by putting jay on right and mcneil central. D somehow have to match 3 in central midfield. Once again a rigid 4.4.2 is our downfall.

need to revert to old Burnley, Lowton on for Roberts who has been abject, Barnes on for Jay and make it a fight.

The lack of ability to pass a football ten yards in this team is phenomenal.
It's downright sickening.

In an attacking sense, we are abysmally set up and abysmally coached.

Can we bring on a sub manager at half time?

I’ve been saying it time and time again but the system needs changing to 4-4-1-1 / 4-5-1 with McNeil as an attacking 8 / half 10. It gives more passing options in midfield, he’s hard working so helps against the 3 in there and makes use of his passing. Also it allows Cornet to make those attacking runs and have a bit more protection if they counter. Why is it still not being used? This 4-4-2 is just too rigid right now.

Were rabbits in headlights no quality anywhere , if we can't close players down we will be punished further, haven't got a clue what the game plan is, but whatever it is I don't see one.

Everyone's knocking Roberts , but McNeil's only half heartedly tracking back to help him .

Westy has the best pass completion on the pitch at 100% why in gods name would we take of the only player that can actually pass a ball

I have to agree this system isn't working with the players we have. The amount of space United have in the middle of the park is worrying.

No, not this time. McNeil has chased back plenty with Shaw. Roberts is losing the battle with his own man, Sancho.

Your spot on, McNeil has been tracking back plenty.

Roberts hasn’t been tight enough to Sancho. To be fair I think it’s the best game I’ve seen Sancho have

From TV I don’t agree about Cornet. Not sure some of the other players are on his wavelength. Pope and Pieters have been good. Jay Rod is a passenger. The midfield is dreadful. We don’t look like scoring in a month of Sundays as usual.

WW is certainly not the target man I expected. Hopefully if he ever gets a chance he will score and go on from there. We did get better in the last 15 mins. Remember we were 3 down at OT at ht and won the second half

Good point, but surely at this point we need to work to our strengths and not our weaknesses
I'm not sure Weghorst's strength is in the air though, not from what I've seen so far. He looks more comfortable with the ball at his feet linking the play and getting into the box rather than the ball just fired towards him.

United a much better side with Pogba / without Ronaldo starting. Agree best game Sancho’s had from what I’ve seen, him and Shaw playing well.

Watched 5 mins of Newcastle at HT. They had more purpose with the ball in that 5 mins than I’ve seen from Burnley in 3 matches.

If your blaming Roberts you obviously are clueless. Watch mcneil stop and expect Roberts from a standing position. If I was Roberts I'd be blasting him.

Yes thanks to Dele Alli gifting them the chance, clearly it's not just Burnley midfielders who are poor on the ball, could a damaging night, as Watford are still holding West Ham, makes all those dropped points earlier in the campaign look even more important now, as I sadly suspected would prove to be the case.
