Seriously baffling that we can record 85% possession but those stats for end product. I genuinely don't get how you have that much play but are behind in the final third.
We desperately need a striker and a player with a bit of urgency & directness.
Playing against a 10 man defence.

Honestly don’t think a striker makes a jot of difference to those stats. It’s about the midfield taking risks, making runs, getting in behind, etc.

Regularly saw us with very credible chances/shots stats with low possession under Dyche.

We need to find a way to be more effective with the possession.

85% possession
0 shots on target
1 corner

= crab sideways football
This pretty much. Sideways backwards and slow not sure what we are waiting for. Barnes May as well not be on pitch.

Club Twitter account at half time suggesting three of our players tested the keeper.

Unless they sat him down and gave him a maths exam, I think we all know they didn’t test him. 0 shots on target.

Really really hope that is just an error and not deliberate fake news.

Hopefully even the Barnes staunch loyalists must appreciate he has come to the end of the road. Cant do it in the PL, the Championship and now League 1

At 80%+ possession and no shots on target, we just look like we're trying to walk it in.

Disagree. I think a striker in this system is key. It’s no coincidence we looked a lot better with Jay Rod leading the line.

No stream here, but just going off the stats, it appears we are making the Arsenal mistake of trying to walk the ball into the net.
Teams are going to sit back against us, so we need to start shooting from distance, and make sure they're on target. I don't care if the keeper saves it, so long as we work him. There's always the chance that he eventually spills one and we pick up the pieces.

BBC: Goal! Shrewsbury Town 0, Burnley 1. Samuel Bastien (Burnley) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Benson Manuel.

Are BBC mixed up with Manuel Benson's name? Or, is this me?
