I do feel a few people are over reacting to Kompany's departure seeing negatives where they may not exist.
Is he confident and arrogant in places, yes. But doesn't mean he lacks talent.
Plus I read the bold comment in the interview above as a joke from Kompany, a self deprecating comment noting how many other manager's had been targeted before him.

After hearing all his interviews post match when he saw completely different games to the rest of us it's clear he actually believes what he is saying!
He works longer and harder than anybody else on planet earth yet still couldn't get it right!
He has a scouting company yet still couldn't get recruitment right!
He always makes sure his teams are aggressive, yet produced a team full of fairies!
He lives in cuckoo land.
