Windiest 141/3 off 15

Anyone else daft enough to have stayed up watching?
I recorded it. I watched the first innings when I got up this morning, then went to the dentists and came back and watched the second innings. I made sure I didn’t get any info about the game.

And I can confirm that we’ve just won. 😂😂

it's often less painful to go to the dentist than watch the cricket Tony! 8-)

Only a check up so a pain free visit. I wasn’t sure we were going to get those runs though but pleased to see it was comfortable in the end.

I’ve just checked, apparently the first Semi final has a reserve date, the second doesn’t.

It had already been decided that if India reached the semi-final they would get the Guyana match, because that's the one played in the morning which means peak time for Indian TV. India are providing 90%+ of the funds for this tournament, so they get a major say in the scheduling.

TBF I think India more or less run cricket these days.

A word of warning don't ever interact with them on social media, you'll be met with 1 million replies telling you how good Kohli and Bumrah are and they do tend to get quite nasty behind their cartoon profile picture

For the reserve day for the semi.

Both matches get an alloted time to play the games. The difference is our spare time will be in the afternoon/night of the game and the other semi played at night will have the next morning.

Shame we drew India.....they'll be tough to beat.
The Aussies looked well on their way to beating India yesterday...then excellent bowling shut them down.

It’s like a 16 over innings for batting sides against India at the moment, Bumrah in absolutely imperious form.

Aye, he often takes 2 or 3 wickets and (equally importantly) is very economical.

I’m pleased that Afghanistan qualified, but I have to say, I was absolutely appalled at the gamesmanship of Englishman, Jonathan Trott, who is now the head coach of the Afghanistan team.

With the rain falling and Afghanistan two runs ahead on DL, Trott Started pointing to the sky and told his players to slow down before gesticulating that they should fall down to the floor and feign injury, thus the rain, which had been forecast, could set in and would result in the teams having to leave the field of play…unlikely to return.

A bit of gamesmanship is okay, but for me, this is taking it far too far and questions brings the sporting integrity of one our former players Into the spotlight. Total lacking class. Find it really sad, because he is a player that so, so many people got behind when he was struggling with his mental health. This is not the way to go about things.

It is turning out to be an appalling competition
No reserve date for a semi final .
Lancashire League is run far better
The pitch for the SA semi final against Afghanistan was apparently dangerous and should not have been used
Whoever is responsible for the rules of play should be sacked immediately

Looking like India will go through by default.

What a brainless idea to play in the West Indies during the rainy season.

Covers off, sun shining, next inspection in 5 minutes. Wouldn't be at all surprised at a 4:45 start.

250 minutes of additional time to get the game in - minimum 10 over game required.

England looking like being unchanged.
