£55 for a home ticket
Re: £55 for a home ticket
i don't think people are claiming the price isn't ridiculous, its no more ridiculous than whats happening elsewhere with regards to the cost of things.
Take farmers for example, they get driven down on cost, while the supermarkets increase the prices.
These things are optional, you either pay the price on the shelf or you don't.
It is a business, its not fan owned, they have share holders to please, its not a "community club" or whatever anyone else likes to spout off.
"Football is a working class sport" is such an outdated concept.
If you cant afford it, you cant go, its simple as. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford season tickets for me and the family, if i couldnt, i'd have to find something else to do.
The kids really want to go to Disneyland Florida, but we cant afford it, so we haven't been. its no different.

Re: £55 for a home ticket
Yes but will they revise the pricing strategy if we have a few bang average seasons and become a club like Preston?
It wouldn’t take too long for attendances to fall to sub 15,000.

Absolutely. They can do this while we're either in the Prem or at the top of the Championship. Two years in the 2nd division and there'll be half-season tickets, bring a friend deals and the rest of it. Hopefully we don't find out soon but obviously at some stage we will.

Getting complicated now , Dave! This is Burnley, keep it simple!BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:26 pmNot if you were getting 23 games for 550 quid or so rather than 10 or so games
Plus they could have had a reduced rate for the season ticket holders that couldn’t renew

Muric has left the club, albeit 6 months later than I said. No one can say his sale was due his ability as a goalkeeper. He is now Ipswich's problem who will have some interesting times ahead. Can we now move on!claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 7:39 amIt wasn't the club who set this price these were part of the terms the Kosovan mafia put on the club. There is someone on twitter claiming this to be true so it must be

Blackburn fans won’t be too happy about the cost of a ticket for the upcoming game at ours:

Fair play to those that go on every game. I couldn’t be arsed with that now when it’s all on tv. It’s not like the atmosphere makes it worthwhile either.
Re: £55 for a home ticket
Reading the Clarets Trust document posted on another thread it looks as if Blackburn have rejected a £30 reciprocal price hence the £35 cost.burnmark wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 5:31 pmBlackburn fans won’t be too happy about the cost of a ticket for the upcoming game at ours:

Let’s see what we get charged later in the season. I think one year they created an A+ category for us.

Re: £55 for a home ticket
Yep. What did we charge them last time. My Blackburn supporting mate thought it was similar.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 8:39 pmWe are charging them £35 adults with £28 concessions and £18 for kids. Blackburn are also charging £13 for the coach although it isn’t mandatory.

Re: £55 for a home ticket
Never mind the prices, what about their allocation ?
We should offer them the same percentage of
capacity as they did to us last time.

We can't offer less than 2000.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:44 pmNever mind the prices, what about their allocation ?

Assume that was their allocation to us then ?

"If you can't afford it don't go" when it's all going well and "come on everyone it's a community, we're all in this together, don't let the club die" when the begging bowls are out is it?GetIntoEm wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 10:32 ami don't think people are claiming the price isn't ridiculous, its no more ridiculous than whats happening elsewhere with regards to the cost of things.

Yes, as that was the minimum they had to give us.

Re: £55 for a home ticket
The fact that it's pretty much selling out every game shows that there is enough that can afford
Re: £35 for a home ticket
For tomorrow you can get an adult ticket for £35. But of course for some people it's better to moan about the few top price seats rather than the lower price ones!
