Eustace is now in talks to become the new Derby manager. Shows what an awful setup they have under these ****, ******* owners that he wants to leave a club sat in 6th to join a club in the relegation zone.
They got lucky finding Tomasson and Eustace. The next one will be a desperate mug that takes them down. Venky's deserve relegation.

If Derby are struggling to raise the release fee, we could help out by starting a crowd funding page.

Re: Venky's are a disgrace
The one thing our horse fiddling friends forget.. is regardless of how much they hate the Venkys… without them constantly putting their hands in their pockets .. they truly would be f****d!Hutchy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 10:01 pmHi all. Absolutely loving the fact that our unbeaten run against that lot goes on. However, it has to be said...as much as we love their demise, as much as we have laughed and enjoyed the past decade...what an absolute disgrace their owners are. Venky's really are the pits and I genuinely mean that as a keen football observer.
Let's put aside the rivalry, it being the bastards and any memories of what their fans were like back in the day for a minute, and look at it objectively as true football fans. Some absolute no marks from India turn up in 2010 and buy a well established Premier League club. They gut a squad containing some serious players like Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Pedersen, Dunn (tosser). They employ a rotten scoundrel and let him and his agent run riot and subsequently get relegated. They then do NOTHING for the next 12 years to get the club back into the Prem, instead they lower the standards every year and have the club constantly look an embarrassment against their local rivals. No shame, no remorse on show. Not a care. They can't be bothered to attend a game. We would be livid if that was us and Venky's had wrecked our club in the same manner, let's be honest.
They (Venky's) then pass up opportunity after opportunity of trying to kick on for promotion with Rovers sat inside the top 6 for three January's running, being happy to just avoid relegation. They **** Mowbray off and then Tomasson by showing zero ambition and now Eustace is making similar noises about 'needing quality to come in'. He's in for major disappointment on that front. They don't do 'quality' because that means they have to spend something. Look at how utterly toothless they were in attack today. We could be playing until midnight and they still wouldn't have scored.
Beating them as regularly as we have done under the Venky reign is fantastic, but it is starting to feel a bit hollow to me. Does anybody else feel the same? It's like teams beating Man Utd comfortably today. Yeah, it's still Man Utd in name, but it is not THE Man Utd, therefore it isn't the same buzz. Man Utd today are a shitshow, a circus brought about by their owners. The same applies to Blackburn for me, though we can only beat what is in front of us. This is not THE Blackburn Rovers though. It is a fake imitation that has endured years of Venky's bullshit and is fighting with one arm tied behind its back. That's the truth of the matter.
Some may not agree, but I hate seeing any English club being treated like this by idiotic foreign owners who have no affinity or care for what they own. It's always the fans that suffer. Venky's are well in the race for being the worst owners in English football right now. At least the Reading guy is openly a *******. This lot's PR machine has them painted as being such generous people with their '£20m a year on running costs' spiel. Costs that they have caused and are responsible for!
What are your genuine views about Venky's? All jokes aside. I honestly don't think any club or fanbase deserves such rotten owners, not even them.

Re: Venky's are a disgrace
Nothing to do with the venkys, he has a release clause in his contract, Derby have allegedly met that release clause and Eustace wants to go.
He was heavily linked with WBA but I'm guessing they decided against spending the "transfer fee" on him.
Once a manager tells you they want to leave what would be the point of offering him a new contract? Let him go.
If i was them id be having a chat to Rob Edwards.

They are keeping them afloat so hold all the cards. I’d absolutely love it if they pulled the plug and they went into administration. Down the leagues they creep and hopefully end up playing against Padiham for our next chance to watch them.

Their problem is that they don't want to lose face by selling for less than they bought it, let alone the countless millions they have spent over the years keeping them afloat. And no-one is going to give them what they paid for it unless they are in the PL. But the Indian government will not allow them to invest the money needed to give them a fighting chance. Absolute no-win circle!Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 9:45 pmI gave up long ago, trying to work out exactly why the Venkey folk keep shovelling money into something they don't really bother with.

I don't think the owners understood the British mentality. The Venky's were championed as their new billionaires saviours, but this quickly turned sour when chaos and reality hit home. In Indian, the wealthy are venerated and respected no matter what. Here in the UK, we don't give a toss who you are. The days of cap doffing are long gone.

Re: Venky's are a disgrace
Interesting reading in the LET (Quoted in full)
"
"
Blackburn Rovers have shot themselves in the foot for a second time in 12 months, with another successful head coach on the brink of departure.
Rovers fans will soon be campaigning for February 9 to be abolished. Not even the best script writer would plot an official approach for John Eustace on the day of his one-year anniversary as head coach.
It was 12 months exactly since the previous incumbent officially parted ways that Eustace was fielding questions on his future.
There were 15 minutes between Rovers' announcements marking the end of Jon Dahl Tomasson's tenure and appointing Eustace. That won't be the same this time around. Whilst Eustace diplomatically stated he would hold talks with the board, everyone expects this to go one way.
It would be naïve to think otherwise, considering Derby's confidence to make a firm play for a head coach positioned 16 places above them in the Championship table. You don't do that unless there's been a nod and a wink that you've got a mighty good chance of landing your target.
Whilst Eustace will not go out in the same blaze of glory as Tomasson, the underlying reasons are the same. Quite simply, he hasn't felt supported and views the Derby project as a better one than Blackburn Rovers'.
That is a damning indictment on a board that has failed to back their last three managers at crucial moments. Tony Mowbray had Rovers in second this time three years ago and they did not finish in the top-six after a dry January.
Tomasson didn't get the striker he wanted in year one and they missed out by goal difference. In year two, he'd had enough and the failure to register Duncan McGuire was the final straw.
For Eustace, his cries for 'two or three quality players' went unanswered. Sure, Rovers signed six players but four of them didn't come until the final week of the window despite a mass injury crisis. There may well be some good additions over time but none of them ticked the boxes of top Championship pedigree and ready to go straight away.
Blackburn Rovers do not have the biggest budget and that is fine. The Championship has a food chain and an eco-system which Rovers simply don't sit at the top of. Ewood Park attendances are bottom half and the squad value sits similarly. To be sat sixth after 31 games, having lost Sam Szmodics, is a remarkable effort from staff and players.
But nobody can escape that Rovers have sold £30million of assets in the last 12 months. By my rough calculations, they have spent circa £2.5m in permanent transfers since then. That is simply inexcusable and is a huge driving factor in Eustace's decision to jump ship.
January's recruitment was short-term and Eustace, like the fans, can see the problems coming down the road. Rovers have 13 players who might not be part of their group come pre-season. That is poor planning and execution from the decision-makers.
When asked by The Lancashire Telegraph if he felt supported, his words backed the board. His facial expression and the smirk that followed painted the true picture.
Derby sold centre-back Erin Cashin for £9million to Brighton & Hove Albion in January. They too are a selling club, for the right price. But they instantly reinvested a reported £4m on defender Sondre Langas, as well as a further £1m on a centre-forward before that sale.
If Blackburn Rovers won't reinvest in their squad when they sell the likes of Adam Wharton and Szmodics, when will they? How does this club grow and create assets to plug the financial gap? They simply can't.
Since Gregg Broughton's departure, Rovers have neglected contract renewals. They're running out of players who would fetch good value and those that would are diminishing because of their dwindling expiry dates.
Rovers' board are fortunate that their last three appointment have been on the money. Tony Mowbray rebuilt the club, Tomasson took them to the brink before the ship started to sink. Eustace provided the life jacket and lifted them to dry land. But none of them are the root cause.
I sincerely hope there is not the same revisionism on Eustace's tenure as there was on Tomasson's. They did things in different ways but, when given the right tools, had Blackburn Rovers punching at the right end of the table. Both were failed by the board.
Family does play into this too. Eustace has been living in a Blackburn hotel since he took the job. His family remain at home in Birmingham, with two kids, 7 and 14, still in school.
If he can keep Derby County in the Championship this season, I'm sure he will get more assurances of investment and progress than at Ewood Park. It's a risk given they're 22nd but, let's face it, why would you back against him?
If he achieves that feat, I don't think anyone would be shocked if the Rams are about Rovers in 12 month's time. That is a negative view but a reflection of the trust in the Blackburn board after 18 months of short-term planning, poor decision making and lack of clear communication.
They have once again played a deciding factor in driving away Blackburn Rovers' best hope of escaping this division. The book stops with them and that is where fans should vent their anger, not at Eustace."

I believe that it was a £3.5 million deal. Don't know much about him, but Eustace and the Fans forum were very upset by this, especially as they had made a mess of signing on deadline day the previous window. (forgotten his name now, but he ended up in limbo because he wasn't registered for any club)

Rovers have a habit of making a mess of the paperwork at the final hour, probably because they had no money/intention to sign them in the first place.

Mullan's arse went when it came to put up or shut up, that other knob Wayne Wild was another who withdrew his empty threats too. Both cowards who put their won interests before the club they claimed they would be the saviour of.
I have no doubt twitter and their forum will be full of the "that is me done with the club" brigade until they play us or their big rivals Man Utd again.
