Not a case of 4s & 5s but our final passes in the danger area were awful again.
Our first 3 goals were:
1) an OG
2) an accidental handball by Anthony but it should have been ruled out.
3) the ball was possibly out of play before Edwards pull back.

Total control and possession was excellent until the vital pass.
Weird

Why?
One of the current laws is any handball that leads to a goal is disallowed.
Yet again with the EffingA they put tweaks in to complicate matters, so possibly it was legal.

That's not right I don't think. The strict liability bit only applies to the actual goalscorer, not players involved in the build up.

Incorrect, it only applies to the goalscorer.

If the ball had hit a defender like that in the box it correctly wouldn't have been given as a pen. It was unfortunate and bounced up to hit Jaidon's arm, and there was nothing he could've done to get his arm out of the way. Correct decision imo.

It didn't when Sander Berge set up Foster for the winner at Forest.

The authorities have really screwed up over the last 8 years, trying to make simple matters more complicated because of VAR.

As with all fouls intent should always be taken into decision making. When a ball bounces up from close range and hits a player it should never be handball, whether it goes for us or against us, as the laws of averages says it will even itself out. The more nuances you put in to any situation and the less the laws of averages plays out.

Who knows what the current rules are, they change so often, but as far as I'm concerned it was a perfectly good goal.

I thought the new law was that you couldn’t score with a handball or directly set it up with a handball ie the touch before the shot on goal, whether it was intentional or not.
So being that Anthony passed it after the handball then the shot was taken I think the law was applied correctly.

I agree with what they’ve tried to do- stop goals being allowed like the ridiculous one scored against us by arsenal where he’s put it into the net with his hand but as with everything they’ve got themselves into a muddle with it.

If the ref that day had have had any common sense and just disallowed it they probably wouldn’t have had to try and create these laws in the first place.
