Not sure that's entirely fair.
Did the Anthony role on the other side of the pitch. Explain what threat he had or any decent positions he got in? Can't think of one threatening move with him involved. Not a criticism, just not his day.

Sitting too deep going for a point is why we keep giving penalties away at the death.

Another excellent performance from Foster.

Burnley looking very nervy now. Please not another stoppage time defeat.

Been a decent game.

Not a bad result - hoped for 3 but at least we get something. Main thing is not conceding a late sucker punch again!!

My first real disappointment of the season. I thought (or perhaps just hoped) that we could and would beat Forest. :(

Rode our luck but we are showing thet we are a very different side to last time around.

We have a chance of staying up.

Walker was brilliant. Could see him leading the team.

I'm very happy with that point.

Yep. A game I was hoping we'd take 3 points from, but keeps us out of the bottom 3.

Good point in the end after a tough final 10 mins. We're growing and showing we can compete.
Signings look strong and will only get better. Optimistic for the months ahead.

Have only heard the last 40 today as on a holiday but it sounded like we gave it a good go but settled for a draw in the end, which is understandable but disappointing when at home and when we have players like Edwards unused. Taking off a striker and wide forward and replacing them with an attacking midfielder and central midfielder, that for me is a very safe choice so as not to lose the game. Which we didn’t, so fair do, Forest are a very good side and in Europe.

Some very good performances today.
Q is becoming a very very good player
Anthony looks the same as last season, even though it's a higher standard.
Tino is excellent
Steeve is top drawer
Ekdal, I don't really notice him, he's just so neat and tidy.
Dubravka is fantastic
Walker is different gravy.

Forest were in the top 8 most of last season and had some players with more quality than us ,it’s a good point for morale after the last 2 matches ,Kompany’s side wouldn’t have had a point on the board yet .

Dubravka and Walker excellent. Fiorentino passed well and provided good cover despite being hampered by a dogshit decision to card early. I think the subs were late and we didn't make enough. It swayed the momentum of the game.

So from someone that was not a Parker fan initially and had massive trepidations about his set up in the Prem, I have got to say we look reasonably comfortable and also showing some great football at times. Anthony looks every inch a top class player. Florentino is a Rolls Royce. Tchaouna (sp) has massive potential and Foster is looking so much better!

Some tough fixture out of the way - lets go!

Definitely looking like it! Only reason I had any doubts was because I have a close mate who's a Newcastle fan and for years he was moaning about Dubravka dropping clangers.

Feel like we missed an opportunity here. Broja, Edwards unused while they made subs to try to win it. Forest played well enough but came here vulnerable.

Great endeavour again. Respectable point but we might have to be braver in these sorts of situations.

Let’s see if we go 4/4/2 next game, that will give us a little more insight into SP’s tactics going forward. NF have some very good players and dangerous from the new manager bounce today.

Agreed. Parker is actually a superb tacticion, but I felt Forest made their subs earlier today and it put them in the ascendancy. We were slow to react and we'd surrendered the momentum by then and choosing Hannibal was tantamount to protecting and accepting the point whereas I'd have been getting Edwards on and thinking we could nick it.

B’burn match abandoned with 11 minutes left to play, they were one up playing 10 men, they’re not at all happy 🙄

Was it that bad at the Turf, or is our pitch that much better??

Both. The drainage of modern pitches is incredible, hence why they get watered before most games.

That lot done the road have had a poor pitch for years, once you get past the end of the summer as they just don't have Walkers cash anymore to keep up with the expensive pitch maintenance..I'm sure they've laid off some ground staff too pretty recently..

Some tough fixtures out the way, now to Man City and Aston Villa away next two! I think this squad is equipped to compete in every game, but nearly every one is going to be a tough one. Hopefully we can get a point in the next two, perhaps 3 at a push. A win we aren't supposed to get would be a big boost.

It's a tough one, given the previous two devastating results, I can understand it.

If we had had one or more points on the board and hadn't conceded in injury time in consecutive weeks, then I think he'd have gone for it.

I think you're spot on. We could easily have had 2 more points before today (1 at Utd and 1 V Liverpool, but we chucked them away) and the table would have looked wholly different, notwithstanding it's ridiculously early doors. Maybe if we'd been half way Parker would have seen it differently and been more offensive in the later stages, I don't know, but tbf to him we eventually got something out of a game we deserved to and that was extremely important today I guess.
