Re: Barton
Just listen to yourselves ffs he is MOM most weeks, he has had one - yes ONE moment in a season and a half and you are making him sound like Kim Jong Un, get a f*****g grip.

He eventually tried a bit of the dark stuff, watch any PL game and you will see the dark stuff, rolling over, play acting, conning refs etc. I am putting Bartons performance in the second half down to if the ref can't see me being fouled I will try something else to get his attention. Not saying it is right or even wrong but if the ref had got a grip early doors the game would have been different. I laughed last week when Costa tweaked an opponents nose, he didn't slap him, but he tweaked his nose, why? To get a reaction. Dark arts in football are here to stay, love them or hate them.

Re: Barton
That lump was an animal - must've been almost as bad as playing against Derek Baldwin in his prime.

Re: Barton
Last season I was at many of the games and had the chance to witness Barton being kicked from pillar to post. He got little protection from refs simply for being Joseph Barton known to the footballing parish as a historical fruit bat. On Saturday if that game had been a PL game then the FA would be looking at violent conduct in the first half missed by the Refs and punishment would follow for Rhead. Yet this is Joseph Barton not Hazard, Sanchez or any one of a number of PL super stars that need protecting from any form of physical contact and as such we will concentrate on perpetuating the great belief that once a fruit bat always a fruit bat. It must surely only be a matter of weeks before Suarez bites a player in Spain once a cannibal always a cannibal. As for Joseph Barton of this parish now, bit dumb what you did in the second half but in my grand scheme of supporting Burnley players, my support for Barton is as strong as ever. UTC

Vinrouge - I've logged on to like your post. Promised myself I was not going to post again after seeing all the over reactions from so called Burnley fans after Saturday.
Good stuff

Re: Barton
Rhead should indeed have been sent off for his assault on Barton early in the game.
