It hasn't exactly been sparkling stuff from Burnley but if we win, it doesn't really matter. Dyche knows we need to improve. And to be fair, we've forced some good saves from Lewis aside from the 2 goals. Let's hope we can finish them off in final half of ET.

I was thinking if it went to penalties we wouldn’t be given our 5 and would automatically lose.

You can't dismiss the opposition as a 'pub team' etc and then, when you've been taken to extra time, have any credibility in the 'are you listening' nonsense.
Should have headed back to half way with a serious look of intent on his face IMO.
I registered as a Clarets fan of 55 years to comment on my embarrassment about that and also some of the arrogant drivel posted earlier on. I worked on the rigs in Aberdeen when they were beating everybody and won the European Cup Winners Cup. I became a sort of Dons supporter as my second team.
They are a proper European team with a history - we are not.
It is only money that has enabled us to win (and only just) tonight - is this really something to gloat about.

Alright lads, Dons fan here. Signed up after last week to give an honest opinion, and will do so again.

Absolutely proud of my team tonight. To take this tie to extra time was a monumental achievement. Over the two ties I thought we did really well against a team which contains some utterly excellent players. I won't go into a diatribe about money in football etc, I just want to reiterate the point I've made previously. Scottish football is nowhere near the 'pub league' that it is commonly perceived to be down south, and I hope our performance over the two legs stands as a little evidence toward that.

I've also heard some great anecdotes from Burnley fans that travelled up last week on their experience in Aberdeen. I hope when the dust settles tomorrow morning, the same story will be true, and our fans have represented our club well in your town. I'm sure they will.

It's a sad quirk of fate that the two toughest opponents were drawn against each other, but such is life, and I wish you all the best for the coming season.

Our season ahead now stands as it always has been; to break the stranglehold the sectarian **** (of both the blue and green variety) have over our league/country. We narrowed the gap to just 9 points last season, and I'd be delighted if we have gained some Burnley fans as supporters of our just cause.

Stand Free.

Good post Illgresi. Some of us eemember when you had a really good side under Fergie.

I thought you played well - lots of endeavour, guts and to be hinest sone real skill at times. Fir a while i thought the stars were on your side but in the end we ground out the result. Shame we couldnt have avoides eaxh other and met much latwr in the comp.

Maybe next year :)

May the Northern Lights light up Aberdeen, once more.

Excellent tie and many friends made, as folk drank and chatted together in Aberdeen and Burnley. Hope folk got their train ok.

Aberdeen fans left good memories.

Up the Clarets.
